Review: Impressive product that works great! - GREAT product! This stuff WORKS! My husband’s mother arrived for an extended visit at our home w/ a damaged hard shell, densely packed suitcase that was cracked in a few places, mostly close to a wheel that was barely holding on & also had long split on the side. Unknown if it was already damaged before this trip, but we didn’t discover it until we were helping her pack for the return flight. No time or money to go shopping for a new one so we used this Gorilla Tape on the inside & outside of those cracks. She was taking home much more than she brought & her overly packed suitcase weighed in at just over 100lbs, but the side didn’t split any wider nor did the cracks around the wheel give way. It all held with this amazingly strong tape & it made it back to her home without ANY issues. Also, since the tape is clear it was barely obvious that her suitcase was being held together by it. I also used it recently as a temporary “repair” to some siding that was damaged by our lawn service. It was about to rain when I discovered the hole so I quickly covered it w/ the tape then forgot about it. It’s been a few months already since I did that & remarkably it has held as a secure barrier against all the direct sun, high heat, humidity & lots of rain we’ve had this summer. **Q: Could this be used to hold up my DD’s on a night out?**
A: Use that tape designed for skin.  Athletes use it.  I got it in rehab after breaking my arm.  Kinesio tape, I think.  That won't hurt when it comes off.  I saw an post where Kim K showed that she used duct tape in a photoshoot.  But it doesn't go on smooth, is very damaging to your skin, painful to remove, etc.  Kinesio is design for supporting body parts like a cast would but also safe for skin.  Get a very thick roll so you don't need to use as many little strips.  (Yeah, I know it might be a troll but there's a real answer so why not...)

**Q: Can this tape be painted?**
A: Hello,

Painting Crystal Clear Gorilla Tape is typically not recommended. Due to the Surlyn backing, the paint will peel off of the tape when dried. Some specialty paints formulated for painting plastics may work but the bond is very weak. It can be easily scratched off and it flakes off of the tape when it is bent or folded. **Q: Can you use this to tape a crack in a bathtub. ? Need something to stop the leak until I can get a new tub...**
A: If the tub is smooth and the crack is someplace where you could get a good seal with the tape, I think it could work temporarily.  I use this tape to repair vinyl pool toys, but I'd be concerned using it long term with hot water and soaps; both of those seem like they could degrade the adhesive.

GREAT product! This stuff WORKS!
