However, he is never really serious about any of them. He'll play them a lot when he first gets them, but after he can play a few tunes, he'll only pick it up once in a while. Therefore, when getting him a Zelda ocarina, I didn't want to buy an expensive ceramic version. But I still wanted it to sound good and be durable! I can happily say that this ocarina fulfils both requirements. Yes, it is made of plastic, but the plastic is very sturdy, thick and solid. And the sound is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this ocarina for any Zelda fans who are interested in getting started with a new instrument. Then if they are really serious about it, they can consider getting a ceramic version.My only problem: from reading the description, I thought I would get a songbook with this product. I did not. I needed to buy the songbook separately. This product only came with two sample tunes (one Zelda tune, and one Kumbaya). I chose this as my first ocarina, and i'll certainly be able to learn how to play with it. It has a sturdy build and the notes sound fairly ok, although the higher notes are not tuned and are whistlely.
