very unique color
I purchased Uslu's FRA color, and yes, it's more sheer than anything else. It's a frost color, and it's very pretty, but it would take a LOT of building to get this to really stand out on its own. I think this works best with another lipstick - it reminds me of Bite's current opal lipstick that is out right now, that provides a beautiful violet sheen to your lips and anything you layer it upon. So if you want a subtle lipstick, more like a gloss, this works well. If you want to give a pop to another lipstick, this works really well. This lipstick goes on very smooth and is moisturizing to the lips, but yes, this color in particular isn't that long-lasting.

New favorite!
Love these! One of my new favorite lipstick brands. No scent or taste, comfortable to wear, love the packaging (they click closed securely, and the plastic is slightly rubbery, and not brittle or prone to cracking or breaking).I have four shades (so far), and all are pretty nice. Sao Paulo Viracopos (VCP)...was a mistake. Biratnagar was out of stock and this seemed close...it is not. It's a too-light/bright Barbie pink and is wildly unflattering on me. Mount Pleasant (MPN) is a bright semi-sheer fuchsia which isn't too shiny and is surprisingly wearable for a color that looks so intimidatingly purple in the tube. Caracas Simon Bolivar (CCS) appears brown in the pic, but is actually a dark cool berry. The color is great, but the formula in this one is both underpigmented too emollient/slippy, so you can't really get it opaque without it sliding everywhere and looking patchy. Kishinev (KIV) is a rose-tinted cool medium brown, kind of a 90s neutral. It's pretty opaque, but can be worn in a thin coat for a less intense look.In photo, left to right : VCP, MPN, CCS, KIV.

i love the colour though and feel of it on
I bought the first one a while ago but i find the lipstick is more soft than others and it broke in the middle and never really got to use it much as it became awkward trying to keep it together. hopefully this one won't do this.i love the colour though and feel of it on.

I have a tendencies to go to the darker colors ...
I have a tendencies to go to the darker colors. Some days I use the original color and other days I lighten it or combine it with a similar color.

Goes on strange in this shade
It's great that Amazon is picking up international beauty brands that are hard to get otherwise. Uslu Airlines is a German brand that is best known for their airbrush makeup, and used to be hard to get in the US. The thing with lipstick colors, though, is that because it's not like you can run by Sephora or Ulta and test these brands before buying online, Amazon needs to figure out a much better way to help customers choose cosmetics without fear of wasting money on the wrong shade. This is a perfect example of the problem. It really depends on what monitor or display you're using as to how the shade appears on your screen. Moreover, it depends on how accurate the color correction was on the original photo. I checked out Uslu's website, and their images were no more helpful. When it first arrived, the AAL shade in the tube looked nothing like either of the photos shown here--it was a cooler pink that, try as I might, I couldn't get an accurate photo of, even using a light box. I may try taking another photo in natural light later. Nevertheless, the image shade here looks different on different screens in my house. On some, it looks more accurate; on others, it looks nothing like the actual product. (In a perfect online cosmetics world, companies would include a few different shots of the actual product on actual lips for each color!)However, I'll do my best to describe the shade when you put it on. This is a sheer color, but is the oddest sheer I've ever tested. It goes on with almost a gloss/moisturizer feel, yet deposits more opaque, high-value [color w/ more white in it] peach pigments in the grooves of your skin in a very weird-looking way. Not pretty. Uslu's lipstick is meant to be somewhat sheer with a single application, but with the potential to be built up by applied layers to a more pigmented, dense look. In the case of this shade, though, that single layer does *not* work for a sheer look (unless you just want to use it more as a tinted moisturizer and rub your lips together). You can definitely build this up to a sort of 60's pale high-value peachy-pink look, but it's a bit too moist and shiny to really stay in place. Definitely not a good shade for my coloring, but if you're Caucasian and fair, this will complement you.Bottom line: If the formula is the same for all shades, I'd see this product as a great, moisturizing sheer lipstick and go for the darker shades to match the tone of your skin. But if you're looking for a darker or more saturated (or matte) look, I'm not sure this would be the best pick, nor will you probably get the exact shade you're seeing on the screen.A few minor things: I agree with the other reviewers--the case is awesome (yay German design!). Also, I may just be more sensitive than most, but this definitely wasn't tasteless. There's certainly a subtle typical plasticky lipstick taste when you first apply it, but it's not terrible and dissipates. There's no added artificial parfum or flavor to the formula, so that's what you get. Lastly, I can't go without giving Uslu products props for being cruelty-free. Say no to animal testing!

Some good qualities, but not perfect
The packaging of the lipstick is nice and compact. This color is salmon colored while the picture has a more pink tint. This is not a greasy lipstick and doesn't need constant reapplication. It's a high quality makeup product so the actual amount of lipstick is pretty low given the cost. I would maybe consider this product in a different color.

Smooth but needs frequent reapplication
The Uslu Airlines Lipstick goes on smooth and doesn't feel heavy or waxy, but it doesn't have a strong lasting power either. I was thinking that for a lipstick with this price point it would be a "one and done" application - but that's not the case. The color is exactly as you see on your computer screen which makes buying their different shades something you can do with confidence!

Good moistener - fair as lipstick
The Uslu lipstick could be more accurately classed as a gloss or moistener. The colour is quite light, and doesn't last for long, though the application does make the lips softer. Colours are not vivid, though they appear so in the tube - which is large, plastic, and durable, so easy to tuck into a bag.
