Found the sticky consistency a little tricky as it tended to stay stuck to the trowel and pull away from the pipe until I learned the best tactic was using small amounts smeared firmly onto the cracked pipe I was mending. Has set very hard and needs some sharp bits smoothed off. Overall pleased with product. Review: It does exactly what it says on the tin - This is my second purchase. It is absolutely amazing. I have tried too many other products to mention and all a waste of money. I have sealed a cast iron outside pipe, no problem. Moulded plastic to metal. There really is no limit to its ability. We do know that PC-7 and PC-11 is suitable for using with rigid PVC and cPVC so the Chemist says "it is likely" that PC-7 and PC-11 will stick to uPVC. However, because uPVC isn't very common in the US it hasn't been tested so we can't be 100%. They do intend to follow up on this question by carrying out testing on uPVC but obviously that isn't very helpful for you at the moment! PC-7 is a thick and sticky paste epoxy, thicker than peanut butter. Our advice would be to apply it by (gloved) hand. Lubricate the fingers with methylated spirit, which can also be applied onto the PC-7 to assist with smoothing it out. This may increase the cure time a little. Placing the container in a warm place, and completing the repair on a warm day will help reduce the viscosity of the PC-7. It is /so/ thick that the only way to mix it is to 'cut and slice' it - it is almost impossible to work. Is this normal** A: Hello. PC-7 is a very thick and sticky paste. If you take a look at our user guide (you should see the link on the product page, if not please contact us), you'll find plenty of guidance on the recommended working temperatures, and how to increase the viscosity if necessary.
