Excellent!! Onboard eMMC memory an issue but otherwise outstanding.
*** NOTE - Upfront, I have just ONE significant criticism of these devices. At best the 32GB onboard eMMC memory is incredibly restrictive. Ultimately, it's woefully inadequate for a Windows 10 Pro system. By the time Windows has updated & you've added a few programs/apps, etc., remaining space is critically low or completely used up!! However, the real beauty of these devices is that literally ANYONE with a screwdriver & 5 minutes to spare can VERY easily upgrade the storage by installing an M.2 SSD. (I'd strongly recommend installing a SSD regardless of how you intend to use your Neo N42C-4, (minimal research will explain why)). A SSD is considerably faster than eMMC, you really do notice the difference in system speed & performance, let alone the added storage space to make the most of. (Check Minix's forums 1st for a list of compatible SSD's, installation details, & you'll need to download (completely free) Minix's official copy of Windows 10 "PRO" (64 bit). (I'd also be happy to answer any questions based on my experiences with my N42C-4 so far, (should it be of any help)). A 120GB M.2 SSD can be purchased on Amazon for just £45 & it truly transforms the capabilities of this mini PC. (Personally, I purchased a 240GB Kingston SSD & a 16GB Crucial RAM kit on Amazon too). I'd also recommend at least doubling the stock 4GB RAM as well. - The stock RAM is a Kingston 4GB SO-DIMM module (CBD16D3LS1KBG/4G DDR3 @1600MHz). Including both the physical installation & freshly installing Windows, I was still up & running in just under an hour. ***With that out of the way; I've been using an Android based Minix Neo U9-H for several months & I've been so impressed with it that I also got this Windows Neo N42C-4 as well. My original intent was to use the N42C-4 solely as another HTPC, but after seeing what it was capable of I soon altered my plans. I have it running 24/7 anyway & it performs so well that I'm now using it for several other tasks that saves me having to run my desktop PC or a laptop. (Typically, I purchased a new entry level HP Omen gaming laptop recently as my older Toshiba laptop had always been painfully slow even from new. I needed something faster for certain tasks when I'm unable to use my desktop due to disabilities. Had I known just how well this device was going to perform I would have got a budget laptop & simply used this instead as it currently is on my 50" big screen, with a wireless keyboard/mouse)!! It's coping with everything I'm asking of it quickly & admirably, (although the upgrades have definitely made a difference). The device has a relatively low powered Pentium 1.1 GHz quad core CPU, but it's capable of bursting up to 2.5 GHz & it certainly gets the job done. Obviously, it's not going to match your high end i7 gaming rig or cope with hardcore video editing, CAD, etc., but they're just not intended for such purposes. What you are getting is an excellent mini PC that excels as a HTPC & more. Depending on the circumstances & intended use, they can completely replace a full sized desktop or laptop too!! Obviously, it comes down to what you need the system to do but they are very capable. For those that choose to stick with the device as it is, including un-boxing & connecting, you'll literally be up & running within minutes. Windows is pre-installed & it takes minutes for the initial set up to complete. (Obviously, it took me slightly longer as I installed a SSD). Windows on the Minix is very clean & light, only essential software is installed out of the box. You won't find an abundance of apps/programs or software that you'll never want or need unlike many pre-built desktop systems or laptops. The Build quality is outstanding. It's solidly constructed with a sleek matt black finish, they do look good. (Minix really do pay attention to detail). All of the ports/inputs are solid. An excellent VESA mount is also included so you can discreetly mount the unit to the back of any VESA TV/Monitor (or mount it onto a wall if you wish). As explained, they are exceptionally easy to upgrade indeed. Personally, I hard wire my N42C-4 by ethernet to my LAN for security & reliable speed, especially for streaming large media files or accessing data from my NAS. However, the built in Wi-Fi performed very well when I tested it out. The built in Bluetooth also works very well with reliable range & no drop outs. Connectivity is excellent, one of the available USB 3 ports is used up for my Logitech K400+ wireless keyboard/mouse & I frequently connect HDD's or flash drives. Otherwise, I also use a small Anker un-powered 4 port USB hub & I've had 4 high capacity HDD's connected simultaneously without any issues. The unit does have active cooling for the CPU. 3 different fan speed profiles are available in the BIOS, but the minimal/adaptive setting will be absolutely fine for most. There is a noticeable low hum from the box when the CPU is working harder but the fan ramps down under lower loads & it's barely audible. As well as the standard HDMI output, the device also has a USB-C type & a Mini Display Port capable of simultaneously outputting to 3 TV's/monitors. (However, the HDMI output is limited to 4K@30Hz).All in all, excellent devices. Full specifications are included on the box or in the quick start guide. Minix also have very good product support forums if you do need assistance, etc. I'm highly impressed & very happy but I'm dropping a star due to the limited onboard eMMC storage. Would happily recommend. 4/5.

So far excellent
More updates: 32gig is not adequate with the vast array of Windows updates. This meant I was constantly nagged that updates failed to install. That is why I bought an m2 drive and migrated The Os. So I would consider adding a compatible M2 drive to your order and reading The forum instructions. The product came fast and I set it up initially in minutes. However Windows update took far longer, but no fault of the product. The display was not automatically detected so I had to customize it through the desktop by right clicking and going to Intel Graphics, but that was easy.Instructions: as is always the case these days they were basic. Nothing about installing windows, troubleshooting etc... However there is a massive forum online and YouTube videos. If you want this for graphics or video work you would be out of luck. This is a basic pc to do accounts, go on the web, build basic webpages and run standard games. You can upgrade the ram and have up to a 500 gig M2 drive. Both require you to open the machine. For The M2 you can buy an external case and run it outside. Full instructions are on their forum how to migrate Windows to m2, but you need to disable the 32 gig internal, which is a pain.I found when I had too many tabs open it struggled and also when I tried the creater studio or 3d models. You can't fit a graphics card in the machine, so no chance of that changing.Overall a decent machine that once fitted to the back of your TV turns any crap tv into a decent smart one. Make sure you have HDMI for an effortless connection. You get a very fast 4K experience if you connect a DP adapter to HDMI, so I have been told as I like my standard HD TV.

What is it like: The unit itself, is actually really small. It is better than having a massive desktop PC on your desk. The specs on it are decent and in my opinion, for video, productivity and browsing, it is pretty quick. It has a proper version of Windows 10 on it which is a great thing to see. There are plenty of input and outputs on this PC, which is the same as you get on a normal PC. I connected a Bluetooth keyboard, Mouse and Monitor to this setup. While using it, you don't feel anything different compared to a normal desktop PC. The system is very quiet.Performance: For watching videos on YouTube and productivity work, such as word, online work and excel, this is perfect. You can even plug-in a Micro SD card on this and, a flash drive so you can use those no problem. I did not feel any slow down on this at all with my use, however, If you start treating this like a fully specced 16gb ram and i7 quad-core system, then yeah, you might be disappointed, however, that is not the point of this. Did you know, you can use this with multiple monitors? I was really surprised to find that out. So even If you got 3 screens, you can do that no problem.Usability: As mentioned, the size of this unit is very small. I can see a lot of offices using these systems to replace their current desktop computers as these are much cheaper, quiet and in some cases, much quicker. You can plug-in all the accessories you would have with a normal desktop as there is a lot of USB ports on this. By the way, you can actually upgrade the ram on this PC which is a shock to me. It will cost you more however, it gives you peace of mind that If you do need it, you are given the option to do that upgrade in the future. Conclusion: Overall, for an office PC, this is perfect. You don't need some supercomputer to do all work you would do in that case. It performs really well for its size. I really do believe a lot of them are going to be using these to save money and space,

This is my first ever amazon review. I decided to do it because I have never had an electric product that has failed from the start.

Great specs but too much buzzing for me.
Could have been great but buzzed too much for my taste and so I could not keep it.
