Outstanding Hand Aerator
The Hand aerator is excellent. I was a big hole in my front yard. I tried everything grass seeds with peat moss over it. Patch master, that did not work either. I saw this on Amazon and gave it a try. This thing works like a charm. I put holes just like a machine aerator. I believe better. I hit the hole 3 different places and made 24 holes. Now it will get clogged with dirt. No problem, all you need is a flat head screwdriver and I just push the dirt out with ease. I dropped my seeds down the hole with no fertilizer. In a week time grass was sporting up in the holes. Make sure the ground is wet not soaked. It will be easier to make holes. If the ground is dry, you will struggle to make holes. I recommend this tool to anyone who has a small yard or need to fix some holes in their yard. This tool is worth every penny.

Very sturdy and does pull cores; needs to be de-clogged often
The product is the best I have seen in terms of actually pulling big, deep cores. The only problem is the ground needs to be really saturated (wet) in order for it to penetrate into the ground and pull good cores, and then you need to use a screwdriver or similar to get the cores out EVERY TIME. Hence you cannot cover much ground quickly. But it does seem to be well built and hopefully will last.

Broke during first use
Very cheap and snapped using it the first time. For a tool that you are supposed to stand on and use your body weight to press into the soil; it does not hold up at all. Very disappointed. I've tried to reach out to their customer support for a return or refund but good luck finding any information out there to contact them. I wish I still had the product packaging to find a phone number or email there. I am 170 lbs. for reference so not just a case of it not holding up for a 350 lb. user.

Average Tool
This tool would probably work better on a different type of soil. Unfortunately my soil is a lot of clay and rocks. Not great on this soil. The holes in the tubes clogged quickly.

Sturdy and powder coated
Tool is fabricated well and easy to use.

Fair
Requires assembly at post and I sent it back and ended up getting a more expensive but better made one that is one piece at the post. My experience with an assembled step aerator is not good. It broke within a week on the third use due to metal fatigue at a post connection.

Makes holes
If you have the time and the will power as well as patience. It will get the job done

Silly **update** should be illegal
This is ridiculous. Not nearly sturdy enough for the job. The tool is three pieces bolted together through nylon with very small socket head screws. If you want to use it, you will have to re-engineer the handle. The first plug works okay but the next one will just pack tight. Bring a tool to clean it out every set of plugs. If this tool works for your yard, congratulations! you don't need to aerateDay two - after 15 minutes yesterday, I tried again today after a rain thinking it might work better. The tool broke after 10 minutes. I was wrong, the joints are not nylon. They are cheap cast (aluminum maybe? I don't know but it is very soft) with nylon inserts. It failed while I was using it, I had an awkward fall, and back hurts a lot. Would give negative stars if that were possible.
