**Q: how long is the strap, can I put on my shoulder?**
A: The shoulder strap is 1 meter  long and is non adjustable . It fits over the shoulder just fine . As for brightness , it's nothing to write home about . What the advantage it has is the battery life . If left on constantly it will stay on for nearly two weeks
