EVA Protective Shell, Dividers and Frame - Walls and dividers are constructed with EVA which ensures much greater protection than cheaper PE foams used in most camera bags. The Core Unit also features an internal frame ensuring the walls never collapse with weight on above it.

Review: Integrates well with the shimoda backpacks - I use it in an explore V2 35 L pack and it fits with a few litres available in the top of the pack for miscellaneous. With this set up, I’m carrying two cameras with mounted lenses (400mm and 24-70) on each and have room for flashes, unattached battery grip and other accessories. the side entrance of the unit aligns perfectly with the backpack.The side entrance is big enough to take out the camera with the 24-70 but not big enough to remove a super telephoto lens through. Great product… just wish it was less expensive…

The Shimoda Large DSL bag is a nice product. The quality was great and the inner and outer material was thick. I would recommend this product to others. The ran into two problems. One-it was to wide for my photographer hardshell case and the cover zipper went all away around, instead of two zippers. Everytime I wanted to get some accessories I had to open my bag completely to unzip the cover. I returned it for that reason. If it wasn't from the inconvenience for me I would have kept it. If you are not bothered with the inconvenience as I explained, this item is great.
