Wonderfull Price, Design, Sound... And Everything Else!
I bought these because my Sony MDRXB50AP Extra Bass Earbuds finally gave in after three years of extensive use (basically running for a whole entire year), and I didn't care for the interchangeable earbud tips, and so I decided I wanted something like the Apple earbuds, that have a one part earbud, but I didn't really want to pay too much for them. Then I saw the price of this one and read the reviews, and I was sold. I ordered these three days ago, (February the 20th), and they had actually just shipped out today, and I've already received them. Within just 11 hours too! The shipping was free, there was no tax, and I even got a $1 off coupon, so all I had to pay in the end was $11.99! They even come with a four month warranty, and lifetime service so you can always be jammin' to your music, or just listening to your audio book, whichever you prefer.I've been used to my blown earbuds, and had actually thought that that was really what the music sounded like, but after listening to Metallica and Led Zeppelin agin on my desktop, I knew that my earbuds had just finally crapped out. When I took these out of the packaging, which was actually really easy to open for once, and started to test them, I was blown away at one, the quality of the sound and how deep the bass was, two, how comfortable they were, and how well they stayed in place, and three, how well they blocked outside noise. The bass on these are comparable to a new pair of Sony MDRXB50AP Extra Bass', or maybe even better. It even came with a little clip that pivoted around to clip your earbuds to your clothes so the control button is always in reach, and so the wire stays in place for when your jogging or doing some other sport. Really well thought out design, on both the earbuds and clip. I highly recommend these earbuds!

Terrible product
I would rather give this no stars. I bought this two months ago and about 6 weeks in, the left ear bud stopped working. It didn’t feel like too big of a deal since I usually heavily rely on the right anyway (especially when I’m biking) but it was still annoying. Then, yesterday, the pause button stopped working, followed by the right earbud.I generally buy inexpensive earbuds and don’t expect them to last too long or I’m ok with lower quality sound. At first, I thought these would be the same. I really liked being able to lower the sound (the max volume is controlled by the phone) and pause, fast forward, rewind, and answer and hang up calls with the button. But none of that was worth having a fully functioning product for only 6 weeks.

Audio level is only a "reduction" of the pre-set level on the iOS device (not a control of the iOS audio level).
It was low price. That is good. It transmits sound between my iOS device and my ears (that is good). The device cable seems reasonably durable (that is good). The quality of the connection seems reasonable for an audio interface connector (that is good). The start/stop button correctly interacts with the iOS device to start/stop the audio on the device (that is good). Now for the not so good item. There is only one (for a product at this price point). The audio "volume" is actually an audio attenuator that requires you dial the actual VOLUME up on your iOS device (to get a reasonable dynamic volume range under different ambient audio conditions). This is a "resistor" based attenuator that simply dials down the audio traveling through the cable and to your ears.In the attached PICTURE you will see a "slide" for the audio level (it moves along the length of the cable about an 1/8th inch of travel in the slide in total). This is hard to get precisely (as you might imagine) and it works off the "max" that you must set by hand on your iOS device. It DOES NOT control the audio level on your iOS device. That wasn't clear to me as I was making the purchase, so for those that are considering this device and for whom controlling the actual audio level of the iOS device is important (that would be me), you may wish to consider a different product.

Good sound at top and bottom frequencies
Every time I get new headphones I try a specific Lords of Acid song about a cat. It has a tittering symbol keeping time and a "textured bass" sound that totally falls flat if the bass isn't clean, along with sung lyrics and a little synthesizer and guitar for middle frequencies. It reproduced the sound just fine. The cord feels cheap, and it probably is; these were made in China and cost next to nothing. They were packed in plastic marked "7" which means it can't be recycled again (*basically*, this isn't a tutorial on plastic). It is reinforced a bit at the connections but it's a bit like scotch tape on the seam of a bridge; it feels like it can't hurt but probably doesn't he much either. For all that, I got exactly what I wanted. Good sound and reasonable comfort for less than fifteen bucks.

Doesn't deserve 5 stars
I'm not totally sure I see why these earbuds have 100% five star ratings. They seem to be pretty average earbuds to me, nothing out of the ordinary. The sound quality is good but not absolutely excellent. I also have small ears so they don't hold super well in my ears when running. But not super annoying. Bass is not that great like "people" said in the reviews.I do like the thin cord and the volume adjuster is definitely nice. The fit of the earbud is decent when I am just sitting around.Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset with my purchase I just don't think they're worth the hype that they received.
