Protect it from the sun when not in use
I am getting ready to reorder and was looking at thinner covers, but decided to go with this one again. It is heavy, but it lasted us 4 seasons before starting to fall apart. We use it when the weather is variable, or when nights are cool. Also it is especially good when we are gone for a weekend, because it keeps leaves and debris out of the pool and skimmer basket doesn’t get clogged. I have it on a roller system so it can be raised and lowered by one person. I also keep a tarp over it when not in use, because the sun is what degrades this stuff. I think that is why I was able to get 4 seasons out of it.

85 degree water in February! Yeah!
Put this on our FL pool and with the sun water temperature reached 85 even though air temps were only in the upper 70's to 80. I've got pool envy now without the expense of a $5K heat pump.

I cut it to shape to fit a spa. Can’t comment on durability yet as I just installed it. The last one lasted 2 years. The sun here (Florida) just eats up these blankets. Two years is about all I’ve ever gotten on these blankets.
