Review: My baby kois love it so much - My baby kois love it so much. For some reasons, they like the red ones over the green ones. Now they grow up to 3in long and still prefer these micro pellets over the bigger ones. It would be nice if color enhancement nutrients are added, so the kois full potential can be observed sooner.
Review: The best for a tiny picky girl - I have a small Betta and I realized that she couldn’t eat pellets. I had been crushing them up with a hammer and she ate them but I don’t think she found them appetizing. She LOVES this food. It’s very small and easy for her to eat and whatever coating is on it makes it easy for her to see in the water. It has good nutritional value and good ingredients!! She goes crazy for it and I don’t worry about her starving anymore.

## Features

- Ideal For: Betta Fish, Tetras, Barbs and other small mouthed tropical fish.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the expiration date for the micro pellets?**
A: Usually about 1 to 2 years out.

**Q: Is there an user manual?**
A: Back of bag has instructions.

**Q: what does semi floting mean??**
A: It means that it will float for a few seconds, before getting saturated with water and sinking to the bottom. From my experience, they float for about 10-15 seconds before the vast majority of them sink to the bottom.

**Q: i have pellets for the fish i own, but they appear to be to big.. so could i use goldfish flakes for a mountain minnow?**
A: Do u have these the micro pellets? Or the standard size? My neon tetras tends to nibble the micro pellets putting them in their mouth and spitting them out a few times before eating a whole micro pellet. I also suggest getting a tiny spoon (something like a 1/8th tsp)to measure out how much ur feeding especially If u are still seeing a lot of food at the bottom of the tank. Mountain minnows don’t get very big so a pinch of food depending on ur hands might be way to much. If u still don’t feel ur fish are eating yes you could use flakes. The reasons not to are they r extra messy and depending on ur set up ur fish might not come to the surface for them so they just get pulled directly into the filtration system. Best of luck

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Sinking Micro Pellets — My Fish Love Them!
*by T***Y on February 26, 2026*

With six fish tanks in my home, I’m always rotating foods to give my fish the best nutrition possible for their health, color, and overall water quality. I’ve tried quite a few micro pellets, but many tend to float longer than I’d like. These sink much faster, which makes a big difference for mid- and bottom-feeding fish and helps reduce food lingering at the surface. I use these primarily in my 75-gallon tank with small fish and shrimp, and they go crazy for them. It’s easily become one of their favorite foods. The pellet size is perfect, feeding is clean, and I’ve been really happy with how well they’re accepted. Definitely a staple in my food rotation now.
