great product
I have a house built before 1950 so before I can hang a tv on the wall I thought that it would be important to know where the studs are. This product is simple to use. Simply purchase a 9 volt battery, put it in and it is ready to go. I am not he handiest person in the world so I appreciated the easy to use instructions. I would recommend this product to anyone.

About what I expected for the cost.
This finder is great at finding studs and avoiding wire and steel pipe; however, the range on the live wire is clearly not 3 inches as stated. I have a 6 inch stud walls and it will not pick up live wires behind 1/2 drywall. I know that it is possible that the wires are 3.5 inches from the drywall but the odds of that always being the case is low. I also tried it on a new build where I knew the wires were and it would not find them in 6 inch stud walls. If all you want to do is mount pictures or tv this should work great if your screws or nails are less then 3 inches. I will keep it and use it but did not work for what I was looking to find deeper in the wall.

Was a bit concerned reading bad reviews for EVERY stud finder on amazon but that ...
The media could not be loaded. Works well in our house. Was a bit concerned reading bad reviews for EVERY stud finder on amazon but that one here definitely works. I use the 1 1/2 option and make sure it’s correctly calibrated (a push of a button). Sometimes I have to calibrate 2-3 times but then it works correctly. I confirmed the found studs on locations I knew for sure there is one and it was correctly found. Thumbs up!

does not come with battery. its a little hard to use not sure if its the wall or the tool. it'll show there a stud but after going back to the same spot i marked it doesn't show where the stud is at anymore. i will keep trying to use it for now.

Easy to use and easy to understand
This product really works well finding the stud. It made for finding the right spot to hang a television a breeze and a smooth installation, I was really happy with the simplicity of the design and ease of use with a few button and choices of dept of stud, while trying to find the stud it alerted me of wiring several times, which prevented a possible mishaps. I would definitely recommend this product.

Too many features for it's own good
You have to calibrate the stud finder for your wall every single time you turn it on. You have to calibrate it where a stud isn't, If i knew presence or absence of studs, I would not need a stud finder! That feature combined with an auto power off time of ~20sec, means everytime you find a stud and drive a nail, you have to recalibrate and hope it calibrates consistently enough to identify the next stud.Complete junk.

Great Tool
Well designed. Perfectly working when calibration button is used correctly. Penetrates deep for studs and metal modes as well as having good sensitivity in live wire mode to detect live mains cables or if live cables are inside plastic conduit. In metal mode it detects metallic conduit, copper pipes, iron and aluminum objects behind wall surface. It beeps on calibration and beeps when finding the center. It has AUTO OFF, Great tool.

Well worth the money, if you're not expecting a super polished experience, and you're willing to learn the tool.
It worked well enough to generally find the stud. It takes a little playing to sort of understand how it works, but it seems to have very good AC detection. I've hit a total of 7 out of 8 screws so far. You really do have to step through the depth modes, as the instructions say, of it in order to really understand where its sensing. It has helped me significantly. I have successfully hung a 55" tv and a 20 pound mirror.
