We've taken the new benchmark of single stage presses and surrounded it with the equipment you need to start loading like a pro. A simple solution for the beginner and pro alike, it is easily upgraded to progressive operation with the optional Piggyback 4.

Review: I got this just after getting into shooting and it is the most awesomely fun thing to do. I've not blown up my rifle, so that's a good sign. All RCBS dies work great (as to be expected), and it can take any other reloading dies of the same thread size. I haven't personally tried to, as all of my reloading die sets are RCBS, but I've seen other people use them to great effect. The press itself is very sturdy, and *can* be attached to a standard table using c-clamps (definitely not included). I think the appropriate way is to get a hefty bench and bolt it down. I don't have access to a workshop, so it's just on the kitchen table, padded and clamped. Works fine. Just make sure to lubricate the press-rod before storage, or it will rust. The various accessories were well-made, such as the handheld primer tool, the powder measure and the powder dispenser. I'd recommend getting an extra loading block, as the one it comes with only holds 50 rounds (well, it CAN hold 100, but it's a bit precarious). The loading manual is very useful for anyone, regardless of whether they reload or not. It gives histories of various calibers, and shows different load types and the projectiles and powders needed. The powder measure takes a little getting used to, but once you figure out the balance, it's quite useful. The dispenser is also tricky at first. Small changes, test and retest. I'd also recommend careful cleaning before changing powders, as well, since I noticed some powder sticking in the receptacle of the dispenser block. Well worth it, and will jumpstart your love for reloading!

The brass stretches. Third, a powder measure stand. The one it comes with is for mounting the powder dispenser over the edge of your bench. I prefer mine at the back of the bench, raised up. Fourth, a second tray. It helps to move from one to the other as you go through each stage and you are less likely to lose track. Last, but not least, a case trimmer. Pros: Tough and well made. Press, powder thrower and scale are all top notch. Cons: Mounting bolts don't come with it so you will need to make a trip to Home Depot and get some bolts to mount it. Hand primer tool sticks when seating large primers. Could just be I got a dud. Manual only has two loads per case type. I bought a Hornady manual which has a larger variety of loads for each calibre and I use that. Doesn't come with a case trimmer.

Excellent kit! The press is very heavy duty. You should be able to reload all the large calibers with this guy. The powder hopper is great and it includes a very nice primer catcher. You will need a thick, durable mounting surface for this press. The powder scale works great too, the reloading manual has loads of helpful information, and the hand priming tool is fast and easy to use. I would not recommend using the hand priming tool with brass that has military crimped primer pockets, EVEN IF you properly prep. the brass. The priming rod isn't perfectly centered and this can sometimes lead to the primer getting pushed in at an angle, allowing for the primer cup to sometimes catch a crimp stamp and get stuck half installed.
