Quality tip up
I waited to write this until I actually tried it out. It is a quality tip up that works extremely well once you learn how to use it correctly. Depending on what you fish for YOU MUST practice with line adjustment on the alligator clip. One setting does not fit all. This is not the fault of the unit. The more tension on the line the bigger the fish you're after. Other complaints of the flag sticking in snow compares to ALL tip ups. I place my unit on a small folding step stool and secure it with a bungee cord. It makes it easier to reach. I only wish the flag wasn't attached with a screw. When really cold outside it's tricky to attach without dropping the screw in the snow. I plan on purchasing more of these units and will recommend to anyone.

My favorite trap
I been fishing this for 3 years and I highly recommend it. As said in other reviews the flag will freeze to the ice if not simply elevated by mounding a little snow next to the hole. To prevent the line from freezing to the clip I put a little chapstick on it. Tons of fun! The bro abides.

Very Good For Money
These are excellent tip ups. However, they are not very sensitive. I saw the tip of my pole moving and jumped in to set the hook. The flag didn't set even with some movement. They could make these a tad more sensitive to fish bites. Nonetheless, it still works well as it has tipped up on a few fish on our last trip.

Tip up works great. Flag goes up and you can fight th me fish with a fishing pole instead of a string in your hand.

Work very good not good for eight below zero day and watch your flag don’t freeze in the hole I like to prop it up on some slush to freeze at an angle

Works awesome even with larger live bait.
Very easy to use. Would definitely buy again. Works very well. Was a little timid about the line releasing from the clip but seems to work well.
