Very impressed with this product
I bought this cushion for my grandmother who was having trouble with relieving pressure areas and she loves it! The cushion is comfortable, helps elevate the area, and prevents her from sitting too long in one spot.

Works great a very comfortable.
This works great and is more comfortable than my normal cushion. When going to the movies I usually have to transfer to their chairs and back multiple times. I just went to the movies with this and lasted the whole time on this using the alternate setting. My but was comfortable the whole time and didn't go numb. It didn't really help my back situation as much but it was overall better than normal. It is relatively quiet but it a theatre with nothing playing it is louder than expected and noticeable. Once the movie started, we were able to tune it out.One important thing of note. The buttons don't work as expected. When you push them you can feel and hear them click but nothing happens. This is because you have to hold them down for a few seconds gor them to work. This is for all of the buttons. I double-checked the instructions and couldnt find a note for this in there. It's bad enough that I thought it was defective and exchanged it. I just happened to luck into figuring it out in the replacement.I also tried contacting the manufacturer fir support, but a week later and I haven't heard anything back. Not a huge deal since I figured it out.I took off a star for the button issue and the lack of response. This was due to my experiences though. If you gigure out the button trick on your own or by my review then you should have a much better experience.

Seems to work ok - a bit noisy however
My brother is in a wheelchair so I thought this would be a nice thing to try for him. It was a little difficult attaching the hoses to the blower assembly, but other than that it is fully assembled and ready to go. I left it plugged in for 4 hours and the charging light eventually dimmed, but it did not go out. So I'm not sure if it was fully charged (it was partially charged when it came) or not, but it was charged enough to see if it worked. It has two settings - alternating and steady. We tried the alternating first - the seat has 6 horizontal air chambers and the alternating setting blows up the 1,3 and 5 tubes fully, and the 2,4 and 6 tubes about half way. It's on a timer and the lowest setting is 10 minutes. It goes up from there to 30 minutes. After the time has passed it will alternate the tubes and blow up the even ones fully and the odd ones about halfway. You can also set it to just keep a steady pressure if you want. There is a solid foam edge on the front of the seat so you won't slide out of the seat when the first tube deflates. That's pretty well thought out.The biggest problem is the inflator assembly. It makes a pretty loud hum as it inflates the seat, and then it seems to turn off and on pretty much all the time - it's quiet perhaps for a minute, then inflates some more for a few seconds, on and off pretty much continuously. The hose is designed to give you quite a bit of room to put the inflator in different places. The obvious place is the storage pocket in the back of the chair. The problem with it being in that pocket is that puts it about a foot away from your head and any vibration transfers right to the person's back. That and the constant noise would drive me crazy and my brother did not like it either. However the hose is long enough that if you were to rig up a way to suspend it under the chair near the floor, I think the noise and vibration would not be so bad. You could probably figure out a way to also enclose it inside some foam or something to further dampen it.The seat itself was very comfortable, and the cover is removable if it needs to be cleaned. The battery lasts about 12 hours - I think it would probably be better if it lasted a bit longer, but I suppose there will be places where he can plug it in occasionally during the day.On the whole I think this is a great idea for a product and definitely worth trying if pressure injuries are a concern. I think that makes it a good value.

The seat cushion for those that want the best seat cushion!
Just like with everything though, to get the best care, or even just the proper care, requires money... If you have enough and can afford something like this though, I don't think you'd regret getting it. However, if you have a cat that often gets in your lap it might not be a good idea to get something like this. Because I had something similar a few months ago and the first time my cat tried to get into my chair with me, that was all she wrote...Now, I've probably dealt with hundreds of rechargeable devices by now, but I've never come across a rechargeable device like this. Reading the instructions will make you scared to use the thing! Lol, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. But really, make sure to read the instructions. And don't just skim them either. Read EVERYTHING in the instructions because... check this out. First, they say to make sure and connect the charging adapter to the pump (device with the controls on it) FIRST. And then plug it into the wall. After that they go on to say this,"After charging the battery, be sure to disconnect the adapter from the pump before unplugging the adapter from the AC outlet. Disconnection in reverse order may cause severe unexpected damages to the pump."Well I'll be dipped in 💩 and rolled in cornbread! I ain't never heard of anything like that before! Y'all see what I mean about making sure to read EVERYTHING in the instructions? You just can never be sure that there's nothing like that in them. There are a couple of important things that neither the listing nor the instructions mention (at the time of this review), that I sure would like to know. One of them is, how long does it take the battery to charge from being almost empty up to 100%? And the other thing is, can the pump just remain plugged in while it's in use, in the event that you don't need to be mobile? However, considering how the instructions refer to charging the battery, I would assume that it CANNOT be plugged in while it's in use.Anyway, I could definitely recommend this alternating air seat cushion to anyone who is considering getting it. Everything seems to be very well made, and everything has functioned flawlessly for me so far.
