Jacob Jensen Designer One Slot Toaster II, Aluminium

I am partial to clean modern designs and this was perfect for my kitchen - and even better, it is a perfect size giving all the benefits of a double length and wide slotted toaster. It doesn't get hot on the outside and has a simple operation, but still has cool blue lights counting down the time before the toast pops up. It is also millimetres shorter than other double length toasters, giving valuable space in my miniscule kitchen.

Design wise is 100% there, but , having already purchased the jakob jensen kettle, I was expecting the same quality level of materials, high grade resin plastic and 3mm thick aluminium panels.This one is still decent but not amazing, a rather cheap plastic feeling and thin aluminium panels curved on the borders to simulate a thicker look.It works as it should.Bottom line, not quite what I was looking for.I'm considering to return it.

Unless I missed something in the detailed specification, the fundamental flaw here is that this toaster came with a non-UK plug..ie 2 pin. I was expecting something close to perfection when spending so much on this utensil. On enquiring whether I could have a UK plug version, the response was that this was not possible and why don't I purchase an adapter for the plug ! I decided for a refund but the 30 odd quid to return this beast to Germany overran the suppliers £10 max on postage for a refund so I was still out of pocket on the refund and still toastless. That said, it looked great but avoid if residing in good old Blighty - especially with these unhelpful suppliers.

I had this toaster for two year. It is a beautiful, sleek design, very pleasing to the eye. It suited our kitchen because it was slimelined. But, even from the start the lowering handle would often get stuck, and finally it broke and is not usable anymore. I didn't expect to break after only two years.

This is a very stylish toaster, I’m familiar with Jacob Jensen design having worked in the TV audio business for years, he is well know for his Bang and Olufsen designs, such The Beogram 4000 Turntable which was an amazing deck, plus he designed some rather fancy speakers as well the phones, plus I have loved his watches for a long time, just never been able to afford one.The toaster is very stylish, sleek and Finished in sandblasted aluminium and black trim, to me it shouts Jacob Jenson design.Lots of great features that I didn’t know I needed with a toaster, nine toasting levels, and the ability to remember your preference which for me a brilliant, I like my toast only just toasted, hate bread that has been in for to long, this gives me my perfect toast every time plus it has an automatic eject function.Priced at just under £70 its expensive, you have to remember that its a Jacob Jenson which will always carry a premium, is it worth the money, probably not, although I love it, its not going to make the toast better than one half the price, this however will make me smile each time I see it, style to me is superb, I’m probably a B&O fan, that has a baring on its style and my love for it, would I pay the money, yea If I could afford his stuff then I’d have it all.

Gluten free bread toasts rapidly and burns very easily. While this toaster is great, the fine control on toasting time does not work for my usual gluten free loaf which comes out a bit burned on a setting of 3 and warm bread on 2. Otherwise a solid, good product.

Retro, sleek and well designed. I could stop there, but I need to address one niggle, the toaster walls feel a little flimsy when you push them. You can look at this two ways; the toaster needs to be manufactured with thicker walls, which would put the cost up or you don't push the walls!Moving on from that the toaster performs well and as another reviewer rightly points out it can accommodate up to 3 slices of bread (dependent on the size of your loaf) in the toasting chamber.It has a couple of nice touches, such as defrost and reheat along with nice subtle blue countdown light to indicate how much longer you to wait. But the nicest touch is the memory which remembers the last toast setting, this saves you all the hassle of keeping your toast consistent.Overall a stylish addition to the kitchen counter.

Por la foto puede parecer que es blanca y que hay una errata en la descripción. No no la hay. Es gris metálico.La tostadora es bonita y con estilo minimalista, pero las piezas son mayoritariamente de plástico, así que es algo más visual que de calidad real.El fallo gordo es la electrónica. Se desconfigura a menudo. Me explico. El sistema de tiempos para calentar no es el típico de rueda, sino que son botones que encienden unos pilotos led, que a más número de ellos encendidos, más tiempo. Cada led es más o menos un minuto. Yo normalmente lo pongo con con 2 (más de 4 cuatro se carboniza y hay como 6 o 7 niveles. No sé para qué tantos) El caso es que debiera mantenerse en ese nivel siempre pero si no te fijas, automáticamente y cada poco tiempo, la tostadora se cambia sola a nivel cuatro... Vamos, que si no te das cuenta , una hornada de cada tres o cuatro, es para tirar.

Super Teil ,sieht toll aus und funktioniert einwandfrei

Bei der Auswahl dieses Designerstücks ging es für mich nicht um Leistungsfähigkeit, sondern Erscheinung und ausreichende Funktion.Das Gerät gefällt mir gut und funktioniert wie erwartet. Um 80 Euro gibt es keine Alternative. Made-in-Germany kostet das doppelte.

Bello e funzionale, funziona davvero benissimo, molto utile la funzione scongelamento e la regolazione dei vari gradi di calore. Unica pecca il venditore non ha inserito le griglie da toast...Per il resto consegna rapida, imballo perfetto.
