Great pen
This works on my Samsung tab S5E flawlessly. The delivery was a little trick because amazon and ups mentioned to item was delivered to me but I did not received it until a few days later so just know that tracking through UPS is not that accurate . Other than that, I cant say anything back about this item. I just ordered a stylus pen case to attach tot he back of my tablet so I can slide the pen inside when not in use.

Happy to have purchased
I bought this for my Onn tablet. It works, but had some issues in the beginning because I didn't charge it enough, apparently. The instructions say charge for 2 hours before use. The pen was only working if I tilted it at an extreme angle, and it shut off after a few minutes of use. If this is happening to you, just charge it for a while.I think it also turns off on its own sometimes. I'll pay attention to this and update if there's an issue or if it was only because of user error.I love this pen though. It's weighted just enough, and still handles naturally. I use a screen protector, and have no issues making artwork. It can make lines or select items on your screen with no effort. It is also interchangeable with different devices. It works well on my Stylo 5.

... Microsoft surface pro just for the use of a fine point stylus
I am not tech saavy however I have always wanted the Microsoft surface pro just for the use of a fine point stylus. The only fine point stylus to work on my off brand tablet had a small disc on the tip if the disc tip falls off the stylus doesn't work. I bought this wacom bamboo tip stylus and let me say WOW it works great. I am going to order 2 more to have as backup in case i forget one someplace.

Does not work
I received my Bamboo Tip and on the same day I had issues. Once you un-box the Bamboo Tip it states that you must charge the pen for 2 hours. Also, it also states that the light will be lit Amber as it is an indication of the pen charging. Well, that was not the case. It never stayed lit Amber color at all. In fact there was no color at all. So this can mean 1 of 2 things.. The pen is fully charged and can be turned on OR the pen is malfunctioned. Well the device did not turn on so then i proceeded to charge the device as directed through the outlet as stated on the instructions. The instructions give 2 ways of charging. One, through a computer with the Micro USB cord it came with or TWO through the wall outlet. Well 2 hours later i unplugged it, mind you the amber light was never on during the charge and was not on when i unplugged it, and proceeded to turn on the pen. NOTHING, no lights came on at all or the pen had no function. I was disappointed having to wait 2 hours for nothing. well i than tried it through the computer. Again, no amber light at all. I did realize that when it was plugged in through either power source it did turn on and was usable. It would write on the Android devices I have but once unplugged it turned off. So again after another 2 hours of charge.. same thing. ITEM DID NOT WORK!

HORRIBLE for taking notes or for art applications. DECENT for gaming and navigation.
Disappointment:I tried to keep an open mind. I tried to like it. I really tried to give the active capacitive pen a chance. I thought that the leading brand in graphics tablets and pen digitizers, Wacom, would have at least developed an active capacitive pen that would be decent. I was wrong.Palm Rejection:I thought that that writing experience would be palatable if I could figure out how to implement palm rejection with a capacitive pen because palm rejection is extremely important to writing naturally on any tablet computer. So I tried. I thought that the palm rejection issue could be solved by wearing an artist glove or by creating my own palm rejection glove. That actually worked! But the writing experience was still horrible!Skipping Lines (dashed lines, dropped input):The reason is because the damn pen skips lines even if your Bamboo Tip is completely charged. Did you read that? Yes, even if the pen is charged to 100% battery capacity. I even switched the pen mode (the switch at the butt of the pen). That didn't stop the pen from skipping lines. Now this pen skipping lines happens more often on my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 than on my ZTE Axon 7. However, this is preventable. It seems like your pen input will not drop if you write or draw very slowly. But if you are in a college lecture, you know that you have to take notes really fast. You can NOT afford to write down your notes very slowly because you will NOT be able to catch up with the professor. It also seems that if your device is lagging, your pen input would drop. This doesn't happen when I write with my finger or a normal capacitive stylus. This also doesn't happen to me when I write with a true active pen, the Galaxy Note's S-Pen. I can only guess that the Bamboo Tip does not provide enough power at the tip of the pen when making contact with the screen. I've heard of similar issues with all the other active capacitive pens.Lines are Jagged and Not Smooth:Even if you glide the pen on the screen slowly so that the device can catch up with what you are writing, the letters, numbers, symbols, lines, and shapes you draw will look very messy, unsmooth, and jagged. This however, can be fixed if you use a software that uses an algorithm to smooth your writing and make it look like beautiful, natural writing. These applications, however, take a few seconds to render your strokes so I prefer not to use them to take notes in class lecture. Also note that these applications have been poorly designed and, so far, have been only proficient at making your strokes look beautiful. The strokes are so beautiful in fact, that writing with a normal capacitive stylus is actually pretty awesome. I don't recommended it for school or art though.Decent Gaming and Menu Navigation:I tried it with games and it has worked spectacularly. The input did not drop as often and here is why. When you play games with a stylus you tend to tap on your screen harder than usual so the tip of the pen makes stronger contact with the screen. So it is less likely for the device to miss taps and swipes. Menu navigation is pretty decent. I did not experience dropped input when tapping or swiping. This isn't much of an issue because during simple swipes and taps, one dropped input does not hinder navigation. The operating system will fill in the gaps and assume that you want to swipe a particular direction. But why is this a problem when jotting down notes? Because many note taking software do not fill in the gaps. That means that dropping input would result in gaps where your line should be. If you refer back to my paragraph talking about algorithms, then I'd like to note that filling in these gaps is one of the things that the algorithms do!Keep Your Screen Oil Free:The best reason you should have for purchasing this pen is to use your touch screen without putting finger oil on your screen. You would still have to use your fingers to do things like pinch to zoom. Or you can buy two pens and use two hands to do pinch-to-zoom. But then you would need to lay your tablet or phone on a table (not practical). If you really hate putting finger oil on your screen, you could use touch screen gloves or wipe your screen with lens wipe. Anyway, you would be doing school wrong if you bought this to take lecture notes. You would also be doing art wrong if you bought this to be a professional artist. Seriously, just get Android/Windows/iOS tablet with the digitizer designed for taking notes and doing art. The palm rejection and pressure sensitivity is worth it.Tactile Feedback:The Bamboo Tip has a slight tactile feedback when you write on the screen. The actual tip that touches the screen has a spring mechanism so that when you write, it gives a little tactile feedback. The tip itself is replaceable. You can buy replacement tips at the Wacom's online store.Build Quality and Design:I think the barrel of the pen is made of high quality plastic. The material feels high quality. The pen looks like a high-end active pen. It's actually one of the better looking battery-powered capacitive styluses. The only physical improvement I can think of is to upgrade it to a USB-C charging port instead of micro USB. As of 2018, it is the best looking active capacitive pen. They May Have Sent Me a Defective and Returned Item:I purchased this through Amazon Services as a direct vendor. I paid the retail price of $47.36, expecting a brand new product. I received the Bamboo Tip in it's original retail box. But I couldn't determine if received a used or defective item that was returned. The retail box seemed to almost fall apart. The glue that is supposed to hold the box peeled off. Worst of all, the box was not sealed with a sticker. Not every consumer products come sealed with a clear sticker, but I wondered if I received a defective and used item because of this poor quality packaging. If anyone knows whether or not I received a used item, please message me.Conclusion:It's not worth $50 dollars if you buy it for (1) taking lecture notes or (2) making digital art. However, you should consider it for everyday consumer uses like games and menu navigation. Just know that an active capacitive pen does not deliver high quality strokes for art and writing. But why two stars? Because I think its better build quality than the generic Chinese brands that also sell this type of active pen. I also do not think that this pen is completely useless. Nonetheless, I will return the Bamboo Tip for a full refund.
