CeraVe Micellar Water - Discontinued Formula

I use an oil cleanser and a microfiber washcloth to remove my mineral sunscreen, and my face was feeling very dry and tight after this routine. I was looking for a toner that was inexpensive, gentle, hydrating, and simple. I stumbled across a review for this product and decided to give it a try - I didn't want anything fancy with anti-aging/oxidants/acids/etc because I prefer to use targeted treatments as needed rather than the kitchen-sink approach to my skincare. I was pleased with the performance of this product and started using this as a toner after washing my face in the morning as well. There are a couple caveats I would offer:- DO NOT use this to remove eye makeup; use an eye makeup remover, because it stings A LOT if you get in in your eyes- It does feel sticky because of all the skin-helping leave-on ingredients in this formula. (It actually will remove heavy face makeup but you don't quite feel clean when you're done.)I have used a couple different micellar waters, and would recommend Garnier or Bioderma for use as an cleansing water. I highly recommend using this product as a simple toner/final cleanser after an oil or traditional cleanser.

A couple months ago, I bought this micellar water at the drug store because of contact dermatitis I had- although my skin very obviously cleared up because my allergy went away, it got SO MUCH BETTER than it was before I developed my allergy. People even commented on how clear my skin was! This product does a great job of cleansing the skin while also keeping the skin moisturized (so moisturized I never needed to use lotion after using this product).After running out of this product, I ordered another bottle, and seeing that this formula that I’d been using was discontinued, I took a chance on the new formula. I’m not gonna say it was a big mistake, but my clear skin went back to having a lot of bumps and pimples (I’m not really prone to acne so this was not ideal at all), AND the formula dried my skin out so much!!! I had to layer on so much moisturizer and I’m so sure that caused a lot of my skin problems as well.FINALLY, I got towards the end of my bottle with the new formula, ordered this again, and have used it for only a day and my skin looks and feels so much better already. Overall, the new formula dries my skin out (I’m assuming because of the lack of hylauronic acid- the ingredients are very different) and doesn’t seem to do very much to cleanse my skin; whereas the discontinued formula hydrates my skin and clears it up. I know there’s a lot of reviews saying that it makes your eyes sting, but that’s due to the hylauronic acid- I’ve been able to use it on my eyes delicately to avoid saturating my eye in the solution, but if it really bothers your eyes, I would say this formula is so amazing that you should use something else on your eyes but still use this on your face.

I could not decide whether to do 3 or 4 stars with this.The main problem is this stings around the eye area. I have a different cleansing water that does not sting whilst removing eye makeup off.I also somehow got some of this water on my finger with a slight hangnail skin thing, and this product stung my finger! It was such a minor place on my finger I did not expect that would occur.I know yet again another cleansing water wouldn’t cause that to sting.With that said, I consider these cons to be as one in regards to my star removal. So I'm doing 4 stars.Other than the con, it works quite well at removing makeup. It removed my face makeup very easily. I also appreciate this for being fragrance free. It’s so important to avoid synthetic fragrance or even non synthetic fragrance on our delicate face skin.Another pro is this also includes Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, and multiple ceramides throughout the formula. These are also high up on the ingredient list, so not just in minute amounts at the very end of the list.

I am fairly new to micellar water. I had just gotten through a bottle of Yes to Tomatoes when I decided to try a couple of new micellar waters. This one, and one from Garnier. I like this one because it contains some extra goodies that my middle aged (40), dry, sensitive, fair, non acne rosacea skin likes. I usually don't wear make up, so I wasn't too concerned with how well it takes it off. I just like to not have to do a full face wash before applying my skin care and since I like CeraVe already, it seemed natural for me to want to try this out. I like it.I did use it to help take off some eye shadow, which did a fine job. It wasn't waterproof, so I can't yet comment on theat. Though I can say Garnier does a nice job with taking off waterproof eye liner which I tried recently. I used it all over my face and eyelids, and did not notice it stinging my eyes like some have mentioned. Seems pretty gentle to me. My face feels good using it.

I use this after cleansing my face twice as a toner. It does remove anything left on my skin. It isn't drying. But, it seems to be making me break out underneath my skin. At first, I thought it was purging my skin but now I feel like it is the actual cause of my irritation.The other issue is that it seems to puff up my eye area in a bad way. And, I don't use it to take off makeup.I think my face might not like the Hyaluronic Acid or perhaps it is the Niacin. But lately, Cerave's products seem to be doing more harm than good.

Soy fan de los productos para el cuidado de la piel ! Esta agua es sin duda de una calidad excelente . Existen otros productos que son mucho más caros y no tienen la calidad igual! Vale mucho la pena si quieres cuidar tu piel !
