We had to feed them plain chicken to help their digestion, and within a few months one kitten developed pica and was licking slabs which is a sign of low iron at around 5 months old. I found this paste online and our vet said it was worth a try since the kittens were already so unwell it couldn't do much more harm and we were already expecting the worst. Thankfully both kittens LOVED their daily vitamin paste and the pica went away within a week or so. We also saw an improvement when weaning off the steroids within a month and they were finally able to be steroid free about 7 months old.
