Heats well; looks good
I like the tallness of this heater; it throws the heat higher than short heaters that warm just my feet. This has a thermostat that cuts off the heat when the ambient temperature reaches a pre-set level. The fan does stay on, however. And it can oscillate if you so desire. It has a remote control, which is convenient. When not operating, it shows the room's temperature. It comes with a "fireplace" display with sound effects, each of which can be shut off. Its sound of a crackling fire is rather tinny, so I have no use for that, and I don't need to see a fake fire, so I don't use this feature at all. It does throw out a lot of heat as if it were an actual fire, and I'll take that part. The main complaint I have against this heater is a lack of memory for the last temperature setting, even when you leave the rocker switch in the back always on. So when you power it on, it will start to heat as a default, no matter what is the ambient temperature. You have to hit the temperature button, and then the last temperature setting will be displayed. It will flash, and you just let it flash and then the temperature will be set. You should be able to just turn it on and it will remember the last setting without any more interaction.Other than that, I like this heater. And it does look cool, as well.

Nice heater, but may require flat surface on top of carpet
This is a nice 1500 W heater, with an attractive appearance, a detailed and informative display, a nice remote control, a '3D flame' feature and a 'fire crackling' feature. It also has a safety feature that shuts it off if it's tipped over, but it has some problems with carpet. As far as heating goes, the device offers high-heat, low-heat and fan settings. The target temperature can be set, and the heater will run until the target temperature is reached. It heats quickly and the noise from about 3' away at sitting ear level is about 42 dB. There's an oscillating function to spread the hot air over a wider area, a timer setting to run the heater for a limited amount of time and an 'eco' mode that aims to keep the temperature in a typical range. The '3D flame' mode does look something like a fire, and provides a nice ambience. The 'crackling sound' is less convincing, and I prefer to keep it off.The tip-over protection is a good feature to have, but a fairly hard surface is required to ensure that the sensor on the bottom of the heater detects that the heater is standing up. When I used it directly on carpet, the sensor prevented it from running, so I had to put a flat surface on the carpet and then put the heater on it. The design could use improvement here, as I'd imagine use on carpet is very common. The remote control works well for controlling the heater, and is a compact, flat design. The touch controls on the front of the heater work fine too.One design choice I like is the use of a circular base, as opposed to a rounded square used by other heaters I've used. A circular base allows the oscillation to be stopped anywhere, without leaving the oscillating part and the base at different angles. The manual shows the display using °C, but the display itself uses °F. The latter is of course expected in the U.S., but I had hoped there was some way to configure it. As far as I can tell, there isn't.Overall, this is a nice heater and I can recommend it, with the caveat that it needs a flat surface.

Pretty good space heater...
Boy, did I order this heater in the nick of time! Not only have we been using it to boost the warmth of the living room a little bit but when one of our baseboard wall heaters went out during a nasty little cold snap this space heater took up the slack until we were able to get the baseboard going again. The heater itself arrived well packaged in a box that I will be keeping for summer storage of the heater. This heater is pretty much plug and play right out of the box. I had some trouble getting it to run at first, but figuring out that tip over protection is very sensitive and it triggers when the device is sitting on well padded carpet, I placed it on a flat hard surface and it worked beautifully. The heater is easy to run whether using the buttons on the machine itself or using the remote. All functions worked just fine. The 'fire' function was my favorite and I just keep it turned on all the time. The crackling fire effects were not very realistic so other than testing them out the first time I leave them turned off. This heater is by no means the quietest or noisiest that I have ever heard and it wouldn't take too long to be able to sleep with it running. The heat output is pretty good and the warming effect is noticeable even several feet away in our large living room. So far my family is quite happy with this tall slim heater and we will likely be getting plenty of use out of it for the rest of the winter...

For hard surfaces only.
I purchased for my bedroom, but the carpet is too soft to activate the safety switch on the bottom. I have to put something under it to get it to turn on which completely ruins the aesthetic.

Solid space heater
I've been using this heater for the past month or so and it has been good so far. It is fit with a timer, oscillation, temp cap, along with 3 different power options. It does a nice job heating up a room. I did notice that despite the length, the heat is only blown through an approximately 2" by 6" slot. A surface area that could be similarly achieved with a cheap and compact space heater. The LED fire place is nice and adds a touch of mental warmth. There's also a safety button on the bottom that will shut it off immediately if it happens to get lifted or knocked over. It's certainly a nice space heater and one that I'd likely buy if it were on sale.
