Haynes Jigsaw Puzzle (1,000 Pieces) - Spitfire

I bought this puzzle for my dad for Christmas. He is a lover of all things Spitfire and so this had a lot to live up to. He has loved doing the puzzle! He said that even he learned more about the plane than he had previously known, which is truly saying something. The reviewer who said that it is impossible to do because of the large area of white is obviously not an experienced puzzler. It’s tricky in those areas for sure but Haynes puzzles are good quality and you need to go by the shape of the pieces, which is a good challenge.

Great jigsaw, there is a typo in the listing which says its a Lancaster, but we ordered a spitfire, it had a spitfire on the box and a spitfire was on the puzzle when it was done. This is a challenging jigsaw - there is a phenomenal amount of white and all the edges are white too with no distinguishing marks - unusually we had to start with the picture of the plane and leave the edges until that was done otherwise you'll go a bit mad. Fab puzzle though - this has been glued and will go up on the wall now, and the Lancaster one has just been ordered too.

Although very nice puzzle, it is impossible to finish due to too many white only pieces. Frustrating.

Overall an excellent puzzle but not all of the pieces fit snugly. One piece has no back and so is only half the thickness of all the other pieces and some pieces have bent prongs. Having said that I would still recommend this puzzle to others.

Item as described. Arrived well within specified time. Puzzle is a challenge.Service cannot be questioned.

Difficult to complete than anticipated due to the number of plain white pieces.

Not conpleted it all yet! But its a good puzzel

Looks good , well boxed and presented but yet to begin as were mired up with completing a Jackson Pollock painted puzzle for the next six months!
