Essential Statistics: w/Student CD First Edition

The book is great, very concise, and clear with statistical distinctions, but be forewarned for all you bargain hunters such as myself, my Professor used the stats portal offered by the publisher to do online homework and the usage code listed within the book is a onetime deal. I bought the book for around $32, but failed to check that the usage code was a one off and that my Professor used the stats portal and I was forced to purchase the portal code off the publisher's website for $84. When you add those prices together, you basically get the price of a new copy of this book. The best bet for anyone would be to skip buying it used and just get it new due to the cost of using the portal code.

Wish that the book also did my homework. Good book for checking formulas and the exercises help a lot.

"great condition", that's what I was told when I bought the book. Let's count the lies shall we :) :1) missing pages that have been torn out of crucial areas, most annoyingly the charts in the back that I bought the book for2) ink everywhere, writing, doodles, the whole shebang3) frayed edges,as if the pages had been held to concrete and purposely messed upWow, now that makes me think, would I ever buy fom this seller again, no.The book however is so-so, it gets the job done, but don't expect miracles or clear explanations. The cd had all the charts in the book, and these are quite handy. Both Mac and pc friendly. 3 1/2 stars

As quick as I needed the book is as quick as I received it. Not only that I saved myself $130 from buying a brand new book that looked exactly like the used one I got. Pages clean and unmarked.

This is a good introduction to the science of data. However, it lacks examples and clarity on how the examples was reached. The examples in the chapters are good but when you have to do the ones at the end it is very difficult. It is a very generic over view of statistics. Make sure you sign up with a well liked Professor so ask around it will help cause stats can seem easy but is very difficult cause everything is so precise. This is the reason a generic book can make things difficult. Two star rating.

The book was in great condition! Price was even better! I saved myself about 80 bucks! My professor said we could use this version instead of the newer version. Very pleased.

This was my very first time buying a book from amazon, and I was very excited to use it's services. However when this book arrived, all the pages were wrinkled like the book got soaked somehow and was left there for the pages to dry awkwardly. I did not want to go through the hassel of returning or complaing because I needed the text for a class. Since this opportunity for review came up I wanted to take the time to suggest to other buyers to BE CAUTIOUS when buying from BELLTOWER BOOKS.I knew the text was used when I purchased it for [...] but was surprised to find it in such poor condition when I recieved it.

I loved the price on this book. I have seen only used book running for the same price. I will look forward to use your service again next
