For me, the extra space is a feature. I've placed some left-over foam inside of the case. I cut this piece of foam to size. The result is some nice extra padding for the camera, which keeps it even more protected. The extra space is also sufficient for the camara plus the charger and the charging cable that came with it. That's what the picture actually indicates, which means that it is not really misleading. Build quality and value for money are also quite good. It's a hardcase which makes it suitable for using the camera as an everyday camera where you carry it around in "unstructured" environments like your backpack or some duffel bag. Pouches are not as good as they get squeezed to much. Review: Hard shell with space - As others have stated it is bulkier than the pictures show. However, my extra batteries and charging cable fit without issue. The inside has a strap to secure the camera so it will not be floating around. It is a hardshell and seems sturdy and well made. If you want a slim fit and probably room for just the camera and nothing else don't get this, if you don't mind a bit of bulk and need room for an extra battery then you'd probably be happy with this product. ## Features - PERFECT FIT: This compact digital camera sturdy cases specially designed for Sony RX100 VII/ RX100 VI/ RX100 V/ RX100 IV/ RX100 III Premium Compact Camera, Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX100 VII/ RX100 VI/ RX100 V/ RX100 IV/ RX100 III Digital Camera and more.
