Super Shield has been formulated to have a shelf life of 36 months. This is due to the hearty strains as well as the prebiotic FOS, the food of probiotics, which keeps them alive and healthy much longer than most products which include no prebiotic of any kind. So a couple weeks outside of refrigeration won't hurt Super Shield. The organisms survive it just fine, especially with the FOS prebiotic. Products from most other companies, however, that don't use the higher quality strains that Super Shield has -- very, very few companies even use one of them-- can't survive extended periods of higher temperatures. Super Shield's very special superior probiotic strains are more resistant to longer periods of higher temperatures than all lesser grade formulas that proliferate today.
