I have 25 miles on it and this bike performs very well. The battery shows full charge and 3/4 charged with a load. I've been up some very steep hills! It came well packaged with no damage. Easy to put together. I'm 5'5" so I was concerned about ride height, no problem! It's very fast and will climb very steep hills in level 5 and minimum pedaling! I could maintain a 13mph speed up these hills! On level ground the speedo showed 32.6mph! Serious fun! The bike is well finished and gets lots of attention, be prepared to talk with others about it! Also very fun!

I bought the bike to get more exercise so I use low Peddle Assist as much as I can, however I do feel that the bike is more than capable of moving me up most hills under its own 1000 watt power motor and that is reassuring to know. The bike is build well and is fun to ride. I have changed the seat ( for my comfort ) and put longer M5x16mm bolts in for the bike rack as the ones that come with the bike are too short, I also put a brighter headlamp on. I have about 90 miles on the bike and would recommend it highly as a new owner. I have ridden the bike in the snow and mud of a walking trail and it did okay the power at the rear tire can really push the bike around. While commuting to work and home I have received many compliments on the look of the bike!

The bike seems good but the throttle cable is bad. I can't find a replacement and I have tried 6 times at different times of day to call addmotor but they do not answer. Sometimes the bike goes full speed unless I'm on the brake andsometimes it works in pedal assist only. The screen shows error 4 and error 21 so no speedometer or changing power level.

What a great bike...looks like they stay up on their customer’s suggestions on fixes. My bike already had the other reviewers suggestions fixed. The quality of this bike is compared to those twice the costs. I noticed a lot of companies share this frame design, but Addmotor has used all top quality components in their build. Yes, it does cost a little more, but I don’t mind paying that if is truly worth the upgrade and for my safety. I’ve been riding it daily, and will update as I get more notes on pros and cons. Their customer service is quick to answer and provides help on their products and what 3rd party accessories fit their products.

Have not been able to ride it much since on the first ride the chain broke. The chain quality was pretty poor. Since the chain is a non-standard 122 links i had to buy two chains and link them together, which is never great since that will provide two weak spots. The bike is nice a big which is what I need with my 6'4" and while somewhat heavy (as to be expected with electric bike) looks great standing still so far....I will update the review once I have been able to ride it

I bought both this Addmotor Motan M-5800 and an M-450 for my wife. These are our first E-bike purchases and we bought them to get us out and get some exercise as we are retired.I chose to ship directly to my home and not to the local bike shop. If you are not mechanically inclined I would recommend paying the small premium and having the bike shop assemble and tune up your bike. Addmotor's add made me think it was just a matter of bolting on the front wheel and handlebars.This was not all that was required. On one bike the brake caliper was touching the spokes and I required adjustment of the caliper. On the other the derailleur needed adjusting as it would only go into gears 1-6 and not into 7th gear. On the M-5800 like everyone else listed, the rear rack bolts were junk and I replaced them.Once I got the bikes all tuned up, I added a rear view mirror to each and a loud bettery horn to replace the bell that came with the bikes. I also added cruiser seats to both for long ride comfort.Both bikes are running great! My M-5800 has more power with the mid drive and can climb steeper hills. The pedal assist mode is what we both use most. My wife runs in assist level 3 and I run in level two. We cruise with very little effort at about 20 mph! We can also just twist the throttle and I can get up to 30MPH while my wife can get to 25mph with her smaller rear hub motor.Buyers should expect a good value on both these bikes. However, they are NOT high end! They do t, Etc.he job and run great but will not compare to American made high end bikes like Optibike

This is my second Addmotor and i am very satisfied with them both. I received the Motan 3 days after i ordered it. I made a 22 mile round trip to the beach and back on the first increment assist and the battery didn't even drop the first icon! I fabricated a car carrier and attached a pelican case to the rack--loving it!.

OUTSTANDING HANDLING, EASY TO MANUEVER ON ALL TERRAIN and the most fun I've ever had! Great purchase and look forward to enjoying it for many years to come.

I received the bike via fedx with some damage.missing paint on several places on the frame.the front damper knob adjuster broken .left side knob.

The bike is very nice and is lighter than I expected. The screws received to install the rear rack needed to be a little longer.
