The Dwarf Patio Damson 'Merryweather' is a compact, self-fertile fruit tree designed for patios, small gardens, and containers. It blooms in winter and requires moderate watering, making it an ideal low-maintenance choice for urban growers seeking fresh, homegrown Damson plums.

## Description

Damsons are an old, traditional fruit tree enjoying a renaissance as people seek out better-flavoured fruits. The powerful, unmistakable flavour of the Damson makes wonderful pies, jams, pastries and juices. The fruits ripen in September and can also be frozen. Damsons are very frost hardy and 'Merryweather' is self fertile, so you need no other trees for it to crop well. It will also help neighboring plum trees to yield better too. On the Pixy rootstock it will mature up to 2metres in height; less if kept in a 20" container. A highly recommended variety! With a top mature height of around 6-8' these are ideal for a smaller garden or a 20" container. Crops of 20ibs plus per tree are normal. Cropping should commence 1-2 years after planting.
