I myself use them in multimedia art projects. They print up beautifully. I seal my images with Aileen's Matte spray sealer after printing. **Q: Are these clear/transparent? If not, is there a similar item that is both sticky back and clear?** A: These are not clear. I do not know if they come in clear/transparent. Depending on your ink you can look under transparent ink print vynal. **Q: Does it peel off easily from its backing?** A: Yes, it was very easy to peel off.
