I looked at more expensive ones, but the last one didn't last that long, so I looked at the 1] type 2] size 3] functionality 4] cost 5] consumables 6] Battery .v. Mains 7] lastly ascetics . In the end I chose this one 1. because of the name 2. Battery, but could work on a transformer if needed [separate purchase]. So I went ahead and bought this one. It arrived as promised, just in an desertcart brown bag, but perfectly intact. It came with the batteries and I 'think' a start up roll. Anyway it worked fine with the batteries, although I thought it a little slow in printing and feeding the roll up. Batteries lasted "ok", but not good. On the second replacement batteries I decided to look into getting the power adaptor. I looked on the Casio site, got the part direct from there [Β£10] and when I plugged it in, wow what a difference. It works quicker and more reliable, that was a good decision. It has all the functions that I need and a 'million' more that I will never use. But it is a good machine. Slightly different layout to my last one, but I quickly adapted to my 'most used key' positions and I have had no issues with it since. I have read others have problems getting on with it. I would suggest you play with it for a short time working out how you need the switches configured for your best use. I like it has a reprint function and has a button battery backup to hold said function and also the date and time on the display. In all I like this much better than my last one.
