Its one way mirror quality greatly depends on the lighting conditions, working to give intended privacy during the daytime only when the sunlight makes the outside much brighter than the inside. The mirror effect will be reversed at night since the inside will be brighter than the outside if you have lights on in your house. The one way mirror film is extra dark and very reflective and helps reduce cooling costs during the summer season. ## Features - EXCELLENT DAYTIME PRIVACY. Provides great intended privacy during daytime only; the mirror-effect is reversed at night since the interior will be exposed to more light than the exterior. The side with the most light will have the mirror-like appearance. - EXTRA DARK AND REFLECTIVE to create a mirror-like appearance while reducing cooling costs during the summer through effective Heat Rejection. VISIBLE LIGHT TRANSMITTANCE / VLT : 10%. ( 5% = Very Dark. 15% = Dark. 35% = Lightly Dark. 50% = Light. 65% = Very Light) - STRONG ADHESIVES to last many years. For easier installation, remember to use A LOT of soap/water mixture to soak both the adhesive side and window. - HIGH QUALITY PERFORMANCE films that are sensitive by nature. Please remember to take caution when handling the film as the slight fold may create a permanent wrinkle. - OPTIMAL DIMENSIONS for compact projects such as small windows and sidelights ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B077YCFCBX | | Best Sellers Rank | #794,758 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) #728 in Window Films | | Brand Name | Buydecorativefilm | | Color | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (1,048) | | Installation Type | Peel & Stick | | Item Dimensions L x W | 144"L x 30"W | | Manufacturer | Buydecorativefilm | | Manufacturer Part Number | CSRSI0530012 | | Material Type | Polyester | | Model Number | CSRSI0530012 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Size | 30 Inch x 12 Feet | | UPC | 656727764949 | | Ultraviolet Light Protection | Yes | | Unit Count | 30 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Buydecorativefilm - **Color:** Silver - **Installation Type:** Peel & Stick - **Manufacturer:** Buydecorativefilm - **Material:** Polyester - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Product Dimensions:** 144"L x 30"W - **Size:** 30 Inch x 12 Feet - **UPC:** 656727764949 - **Ultraviolet Light Protection:** Yes ## Images ![BDF S05 Window Film Daytime Privacy and Heat Control Silver 5 (Very Dark) - 30in X 12ft - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71zCBw6ZGAL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Preferred temperature during install?** A: The optimal temperature range is about 50-80°F (about 10-27°C). It should be at least about 40°F (about 4.4°C). **Q: I have a brightly lit street outside of my apartment that makes it hard to sleep as night. How much light does this film block at night?** A: The film doesn't block out night light at all. it only shades the sun during the day to cut down on heat or cold and people can't see through it when looking in from outside when its sunny. if its dark outside, it makes it so people can see in. does nothing. **Q: How does it work on a cloudy day?** A: Light transmission is reduced so it will be darker inside on a cloudy day. Similar to light filtering blinds. **Q: Can this be used on cars** A: Bought and installed this product just fine on my 2017 honda cr-v. This tint is higher quality than most auto tint, and i had no prob installing myself. Just use a perfect ratio shampoo to distilled water mix so as not to extend the curing time. Squeegee all of the bubbles and excess moisture out inmediately, and if possible park the vehicle in direct sunlight for about an hour after you apply this and you will be fine. 24hrs later had a bubble free professional looking 1-way mirror effect on my rear windows.
