I blanked out the distiller name for obvious reasons. The main idea is to show what a big change happens in a clear bottle of whiskey when you add a tablespoon of toasted oak chips and let it sit for a couple weeks. The flavor is much improved - of course it won't taste like whiskey that has been aged for years in oak barrels, but the flavor is greatly improved so that you can be sipping your cheap whiskey sooner than later without making an "argh" face in the process. I am currently trying this method in some white rum and cheap brandy to see how the flavors are affected. But, for white lightning types of moonshine, it definitely enhances the flavor very quickly.
