Fantastic Machine
I’m going to start with stating that this thing is a beast. Very heavy duty and well built and easy to put together. I’ve used the trimmer and the chain saw, and I can tell you they are absolutely brilliant. I especially love the chain saw (maybe a boys and their toys thing). It made little work of over-grown willow trees (reduced to bush size in no time). To change the heads you need to use the allen key or hex key as it’s also called. Easy enough to change and it’s the little things like the hole in the neck that you push the allen key into to store it. Brilliant idea and saves the inevitable – trying to find the allen key when you need it.Yes the thing is heavy (and I’m a strapping 6’ guy), so I have to agree with other reviewers on that much stated point. However, you can lessen the weight by moving the grip handle (you have to assemble the grip handle when you get the thing) higher up the pole, and the shoulder strap point higher up the pole, so when you loop the strap over one shoulder, the whole trimmer near enough balances on the strap point. You can move the thing around in arcs no problem. When cutting above your head it can get heavy, but again use the shoulder strap to take the weight.I would definitely recommend this machine.Again the thing can get heavy after a lot of use, but hey if you want a trimmer that can handle anything you throw at it, from shaping foliage to severe pruning/cutting back, then this is the machine for you.Last point: buy a tub of the chain oil, as you’ll need this to fill the reservoir up on the chainsaw head. I also bought a can of spray cleaner/oil for the trimmer blades.

Better than I expected.
Having read the negative reviews on this, I was concerned that it wasn't up to the job. I was pleasantly surprised with its cutting ability and the general build quality. However, it is a little top heavy. If it was designed as a single pole trimmer, it could have the motor lower down to help the balance and weight distribution. However, as it has interchangeable cutting tools, it means that the all the weight is at the top end which does make it tiring to use...but overall I'm pleased with it

Almost perfect
An extended pole with a chain saw on the end was never going to be a well balanced piece of kit without making it quite heavy. Personally I would have liked the handle heavier to offset the head. But that is the only gripe.I bought it to get those thicker branches and trunks that either I can't reach with a saw or am too tired to try.I can't speak for the hedge trimmer yet as I have't needed it.

Good tool, does the job well but just a bit heavy!
I would give it five stars if it was not for the fact that it is quite heavy to handle and the weight is all upfront. The shoulder strap helps but I suspect a large segment of population would struggle with it on larger jobs. Apart from that it works well and without it Inwould still be looking at a jungle in my back garden.

Chainsaw no pivot.
I have used this to the first time today. The hedge trimmer is great used it on Apple tree. Must admit I am a little miffed could not try the chainsaw attachment as they do not supply you any oil just a empty bottle. Also the main reason I bought this over others listed is in the photos,it shows the chainsaw head pivoting. It doesn't it is fixed. In my case it's not the end of the world, but take note if you need it to pivot.

Great overhead chainsaw.
The hedge trimmer head is good. I've just finished my (much hated!) annual task of cutting our 70ft long by 10ft high by 3ft deep hedge. It's much quicker than using trestles and ladders. As everyone says, it is heavy with all the weight being held over your head. I didn't get on with the 'harness' supplied and adapted an old belt which worked for me.As a little recreation at the end of the job, I fitted the chainsaw head and tackled some 3" branches about 12ft up which have been blocking the light. It's EXCELLENT ! It just pulled itself through with no effort from me at all. 5 minutes later I've enough branches on the ground to keep my wife busy clearing up for a day ! :-)I would buy it just for the chainsaw.

it's worth taking some time to get the shoulder strap and 'upper' handle in comfortable positions. Very keen price so it is competetive ...
Well-made and robust. Not as heavy as I expected: it's worth taking some time to get the shoulder strap and 'upper' handle in comfortable positions. Very keen price so it is competetive compared with the opposition. I can't wait to give a full go on a mixture of hedging and shrubs. (Being marketed and distributed by Domu, in Manchester, should be an advantage too.)

great
does exactly what it says. The hedge trimmer is very efficient. The chain saw is a little end heavy when on full extension, but is a work horse. It worked through my trees which were 6 to 10 inch in diameter. It won't doo a large oak tree, but good enough for garden use.
