This is a very solid EDC
I waited to write this review til I had a month and a half of EDC use on this. My previous carry was a Ken Onion Blur which the finished had worn away from heavy use, but that's another great carry. I wanted a gentleman style folder, something a little more discreet and thinner, and found this as a great value. After daily use, I can say that this is my new EDC and I love it. The sheepsfoot blade shape and finish is awesome. Blade came super sharp and after a lot of use is holding an edge well. Size, finish, durability and carry have all been great. Normally I prefer g10 on the handle but this is a nice grippy handle, even in the snowy winter.Easy to open, exactly the right size for a gentleman folder, I am very satisfied. I'm a collector, while this isn't a quite Civivi and definitely not a Benchmade or Spyderco, and the blade material isn't s30v, I also am not afraid to loose this at the price point for my daily carry. I love the tip on the sheepsfoot, it keeps the blade kinda hefty towards the end rather than thinning out in a traditional drop point, which makes it nice and sturdy for everything from opening boxes to refletching arrows, and the occasional steak when I'm too lazy to grab a steak knife – which all is what I've use it for primarily for so far.

Best flipper for back pocket carry
Smooth flipper action, quick and solid with absolutely no wobble.Super-functional sheep's foot blade design that gives you point strength like a tanto and effortless slicing like a drop point.Lightweight but very strong synthetic handle that doesn't flex at all, with perfect anti-slip grip texture that allows a firm grasp but does not catch or drag when you draw the knife.Very slim and thin, fits comfortably in my back pocket alongside my wallet.Blade steel is easy to sharpen and holds up well for everyday use.Has the best deep carry clip of any knife that I own, works great with both thicker denim and thinner business slacks. Very subtle, barely visible when clipped. Rounded clip tip doesn't scratch things and makes it easy to draw the knife.Just the right weight: Heavy enough to feel sturdy, but light enough to barely be noticeable when carried.I love my somewhat lighter Kershaw Atmos for essentially the same reasons, but this knife's slimmer design makes it a better fit in my back pocket so it's the knife I carry most days.

Perfect small EDC
I've had this knife for a few months now and really enjoy carrying it. It has a small, discreet profile but is heavy enough to feel like a solid knife. The edge is fairly sharp out of the box (sharp enough to cut myself when i first got it) and is useful for everyday tasks. The only thing to note is that the blade release is really tight and takes a decent amount of force on the notch to open. I'm sure this can be loosened if you have the right tool, but also prevents it from falling open by itself. Overall a great EDC option for the price.

Perfectly ambidextrous even for Righties or Lefties!
There's definitely a learning curve to this knife. I was not a knife user or carrier prior to this purchase, but I'm in the process of adding to my self defense arsenal and I'm a fan of the brand. I like Ruger because it is affordable and also of good quality. The features I particularly like about this knife is that it is dark in color, (even the blade,) so it is not flashy or easily seen if you have it clipped to your belt or if it sticks out of your pocket a bit. The handle is serrated so it is easy to grip and hold; it will not slip from your hand as you are pulling it out and flicking it open- even in a tense situation. It has a "safety" latch, so it cannot accidentally open in your pocket or purse and cause damage or injury. This also makes it fairly child proof. Most children below school age would have a tough time figuring out how to open it (but don't take chances, it's VERY sharp!)The least favorable attribute to this knife is the learning curve to open it. I practice a few minutes a day with each hand. I'm right handed, so I was quite surprised that I can operate this knife more easily with my left hand. This works out in my favor since I would use my primary weapon with my right hand and would only need this one as a backup. My tip would be to use gravity as your friend and don't try to flick it open the opposite way. Also important to know- this knife is small. It's just under an inch wide and 4 inches long folded. I'm small so this is perfect for me. The clip is very tight and small. It wouldn't go over and around a mans thick leather belt. But it works for a pocket or just clipped onto your pants.Even though I'm not an experienced user, I highly recommend this knife because it is an excellent value for the price, and my familiarity with the brand tells me it is of high quality.

Great design, great execution
This is a great "gentleman's" every day carry. In that, it's most comparable to my Kershaw Leek. It's a bit thicker than the Leek, but the textured scales allow for a more sure grip, and keep the Ruger LCK light even with the much sturdier blade (see below). The deep carry clip is one of my favorite features. I had to buy an aftermarket deep carry clip for the Leek, and it's still not as nice. The blade is much sturdier than the Leek, so it may be less well suited for very fine tasks. But with the Leek I have some concern about bending or snapping the tip of the blade, which you definitely won't do with the Ruger LCK. The unique sheep's foot blade geometry is interesting, but I'm not sure if it gives any advantages other than the aforementioned sturdiness. The washers on the Ruger LCK are just fine to allow flipper opening of the blade, and do a good job of keeping blade play to a minimum when opened and locked.Overall, I'd say I use both the Leek and the Ruger LCK about equally in my every day carry rotation. They both acheive the basic task of being a good "gentleman's" knife, with the Leek leaning toward more fine tasks and the Ruger LCK being a bit sturdier.
