Decent size, challenging to build, issues w/ shipping
This piece looks very nice. There is no real wood, just pressboard. It comes in two boxes. I received two of only one box. The company helped get this sorted, but it was a little ridiculous. How could they send two of the same box that ways 100 pounds and is the same length, especially when it specifies right on the box that there are two different sizes and weights. I didn't get charged for returning the one box and they sent the other one, but at their normal shipping speed. Because of their error, I asked for some type of compensation - they denied it. Poor customer service if you ask me. The only instruction that I did not figure out before it was too late was that the backing for the unit can be put on two ways. Make sure that the FINISHED side is facing IN before nailing it to the unit. That way, when you look at the unit on the inside, everything still looks "nice."The boxes were quite heavy, about 100 pounds each. The directions to build it were not very good at all. You really had to study them to determine what the manufacturer was talking about. The size of the drawers is good, although the bottoms of the drawers are cheap 1/4" particle board. Hope they don't crack or break. Unfortunately, we were planning to put several men's suits on the wooden pole. But they are too wide for the doors to close. And the suits are normal size, size 40.Other than those things, pretty good unit. Drawers seem to work well.

Well-Made Piece, Good for Couples on a Budget
First, the assembly time wasn't bad at all, considering the size of this product. It took my husband and I about 1 1/2 hours on a Friday night to get it all together. Directions were very straightforward.Nothing came broken, and all the parts were included. Packaging was very sturdy. Seller actually had it at our door two days after I placed the order, even with free shipping. Now, to the piece itself: it's beautiful, in my opinion. Looks very sharp in our bedroom, which we have decorated in an off-white/teal beachy style. We have limited closet space, and we need something for my husband to put all his hanging clothes in--this does the job well! Fits your typical hanger size without issue--I wouldn't try to put big and tall men's clothes in here, they would drag on the bottom, but your typical men's dress shirts fit without issue, and the hanging bar is barely bowing, although we've definitely filled the hanging space.Drawers offer a lot of space and slide in and out easily. No problems with them so far. (Have had it about a month at the time of this review.)Notably as well, we didn't need to bracket it to the wall--it's very sturdy without doing so--doesn't shake at all when you're opening the cabinet or drawers. At the same time, it's just the two of us, so if you have children or pets, I would bracket it to be on the safe side.Overall, for a couple who can't right now afford "fancy" furniture (ie, anything that doesn't require assembly!) this is an excellent piece that looks like something more expensive than it really was.

“Assembly required”
This is a beautiful armoir and I am very happy with it. Be aware that the “assembly required” is tongue in cheek. It will arrive in a gazillion pieces. I only gave it a four because there is no forewarning of this. It took me all day to assemble, and when I put on the doors, I had to have some help, though some handy person may have been able to do it all alone. If you are not able to assemble a very heavy piece of furniture from the ground up, do not order this. However, having said that, the instructions are straightforward and if you have someone who can help you, this is morphs into lovely piece and has replaced a closet that I lost in renovation. I’m actually kind of proud of it because I can say, I did it myself! FYI, I am a 68 year old widow with no experience except assembling toys for my kids.

Works great!
Took my adult nephew 4 hours to assemble. He used a cordless screwdriver, a hammer, and a regular screwdriver. Looks great. Had to put a smaller tv in it than I had originally planned, but it's fine. I measured the tv, looked at the specs, and moved the larger one downstairs. I was putting this in an upstairs bedroom. Two other armoires wouldn't fit going up the stairs, one that I'd ordered, one that I already owned before we moved. Assembling it in the room was the answer. I am very pleased with this one. Didn't have to use a plywood back, just the cardboard one that came with it, though I was prepared to go to Home Depot if necessary. I thought it lined up fine. The price for this one was much less than the same one on another site, still unassembled.

DON'T DO IT
DON'T DO IT! If you're just broke, broke, broke, and you think you'll never be able to save enough $ and you're never going to get a decent tax refund to buy a real one then ok maybe but I think you should go to a flea market or a garage sale instead. If you can wait and save up, you should and order a real one from pottery barn, ballard, west elm or whatever floats your boat. It's worth it. I can say that because I got 1 from pottery barn and then decided to skimp on this one HUGE difference. I agree that for the price difference (about $1000) there should be a huge difference but I'll be able to pass the pottery barn 1 down to my kids, this other may or may not survive their child hood. Plus it has a strong smell. I guess the glue in the press board and I admit I'm a little more sensitive to smells like that than some people. Still if it hadn't taken me forever (ok, only about 3 1/2 - 4 hours here and there over a 2 day stretch) to put it together I'd send it back just because it smells. Oh it's not too ugly but it's no beauty either.
