The media could not be loaded. This light is quite versatile, and the remote control is handy. There is a huge variety of settings and color modes that can be set with the remote control. It does need the remote to get the most out of it, as the switch on the power cord is quite basic, although it will cycle through some color modes when clicked on and off.Couple of things I don't like. The remote must be pointed at the switch on the power cable, not the lamp itself. It doesn't seem to be a particularly powerful signal and needs to be in sight. The other irritant is the adjustable arms. As soon as I took this unit out of the box, holding it by one of the arms, it slid straight out of the housing and the lamp fell on the floor. Not a great start. The arms basically slide in and out of the housing, there is nothing to lock them in, but in a way, it adds to the versatility of setup I suppose.Of course, usage of this kind of light is not restricted to aquariums as it does not appear to need water to keep it cool. It can be used in all sorts of applications.

Okay it's a dirt cheap light so let's start with the positives, it's BT for the price that's amazing, it is well made, a solid aluminium body that looks fantastic! But if you are getting this for plants do not bother as it's a waste of time...

Does not have the option all the color lights to be on,which is technically the Full Spectrum. Only one color at a time which is not what i bought it for but will do the job untill i get a proper full spectrum one.Delivery was quick yes,price reasonable,but the light turns off randomly,and you cant turn it on unless you press the button on the middle connecting it to the plug. Also app does not have adavnced settings.If you want a disco show that turns off randomly,this light is for you.

When I first go this item, my front room was pretty much free from LED gadgets aside from my Philips Hue lights and TV.A month or so later, I've got quite a few LED gadgets (disco lights, astronaut projector, LED strips etc) as these are what I mainly review for the Amazon Vine programme, and unfortunately they all clash with each other. I've since found that the remote for my Sony Soundbar also conflicts, so I'll sometimes find the fish tank going into strobe light disco mode which I don't think the fish appreciate too much!Aside from the unintended light changes due to the multiple IR (infra-red) gadgets, this is a great product. It's very simple to install. Do not be an idiot like me and make sure you know what you are buying - this is intended for open top tanks, and not those with lids. Due to how it fits on a tank, the tank lid will no longer fit. Fortunately for me, just a few minutes with the Dremel and I managed to cut out some gaps on the lid so that the light stand slots in perfectly. Whew!The LED's themselves are very bright - they can be toned down of course and you have numerous colour and effect options should you wish to change it up.The IR sensor is on the power cable itself, so ensure that you factor that in when connecting it up - you do get Bluetooth connectivity so that you can control the lights with your phone via an app, however I chose to stay using the IR remote as it was just more convenient for me.Would recommend this as long as you don't have too many frequently-used IR gadgets.

The media could not be loaded. These aquarium lights come with brackets that are adjustable, so they will fit in most tanks. The lights are activated with a remote control and there is an option to download an app on your phone to control them if preferred. There are 24 lights, and they are reasonably bright. To make the colours change via the remote control, it is necessary to be within about a foot and a half of the receiver, or the remote does not work. It is simple to choose the different colour options, and once a colour is set, it lights the tank well. We are redoing our aquarium and so will decide what colour lights to use once we have set the tank up, but the options to have a different colour on different nights is quite appealing. I think over time with a little more practice we will make better use of the remote, but I personally do not like the idea of flashing lights in the tank, preferring a set colour. I think these lights are good value.
