Excellent maps for visiting Europe

The Michelin maps are excellent quality and printed on fairly durable paper. The autoroutes, main and minor roads are easy to differentiate and the colour-shading of urban areas, woodland and high ground works perfectly without any loss of clarity of the detail. They are excellent value at a low price, so are cheap to replace as they may only survive two or three tours before they get tired. Unlike the satnav, these give you a great overview of a large area.The only downside was that mine was supplied with a protective card cover loosely glued to the back with a lick of gum. This cover just made it awkward to use so it's intended to be peeled off if not required. Unfortunately, this gum really didn't want to let go of the back of the map unless I used a spirit cleaner.

I found this map had sufficient detail to allow me to drive along the smallest of roads not shown on other maps.

As usual with Michelin maps, this provides the clarity and accuracy you need when seeking information to augment your travels and fill out the details not delivered by the Satnav.The map also covers areas beyond Midwest Germany, so check the summarised map area on the cover. This map may well meet the needs of travel in parts of Belgium and the Netherlands too.

As I expected from this publisher. Clear, detailed with bright colours.

The scale is what we wanted, and we look forward to using it for our holiday in June 2017. It was useful for planning purposes.
