Birthday present for my brother in law who loved it

I bought this feeder as a gift last Christmas. Given the price (now listed by Woodstream at £60+) this is not fit for purpose. The screw fixing on the lid which supports the whole weight of the feeder is plastic and not robust enough to support the weight of the fully loaded seed hoppers (It holds 6k of seed when full and requires 2 people to lift it to the hanging hook). Nor do Woodstream offer any replacement parts which means when the inevitable happens and the load bearing lid screw fails(as it has in this case), you will have to discard what is a very expensive feeder. Add to this the embarrassment at having given what I had hoped would be a worthwhile gift, as you will see why I cannot recommend this feeder, not will I be be buying from Woodstream again as they also declined to respond to my email requesting details of the manufacturer so that I may make contact direct. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Nice idea but very poor quality. Filled as directed but metal hook became detached and feeder crashed to floor. Plastic hook holder cracked so would not retain hook; seed trays smashed; and lid cracked. Rendered totally unusable. Caution there is an identical one which looks as if it's metal but it isn't (see reviews about that from others). Waste of money. At least Amazon refunded the cost.

held up once on a bracket then the plastic thread would not hold the triple feeder so a waste of money due to poor plastic threads on the bird feeder. very disappointed in this product.
