Curad Scar Therapy Advanced Gel Strips 6 Each

This product is amazing, after the first use I could see a major difference in my scar. I have been using Mederma for about four months since I had surgery in March and the results cannot compare to Scar Therapy results in just a few days of using! Actually I put it on at night it doesn't stick very well after a couple of uses so since my scar is on my foot I secure the strip on with a ace bandage or sock so it doesn't come off at night. Whatever vitamins they have in this strip works really well and really fast,it leaves your scar smoother and lighter within one week of constant use you will be impressed.

My dermatologist tells me that this is the best anti-scarring product on the market, better than Mederma. I used it for a while to minimize scarring after a surgical incision to my knee. It says you can reuse the strip several times, so while it seems prohibitively expensive, when you factor in the reusability, I guess it's not AS pricey. Reusing it is a little annoying, because you have to re-adhere it each time. I managed to find a really good product for re-adhering it. But even still, you have to wash it with soapy water and let it dry before reapplying, which is a bit tedious. And after several re-usings, it's hard to know when to say, enough, time to move on to one of the other strips included in the package. Plus, you really have no idea whether it's working, because you have nothing to compare it to. So it's sort of a leap of faith that if you WEREN'T using it, the scar would be worse. After about a week to ten days I tired of using it. I probably should have switched over to using up the remaining strips contained in the package.

I looked for these in stores and in the process found another type at Wallmart. Although these were OK they didn't seem to stay on as well as the other ones did. I went through them rather fast because they didn't stick well. Other than that they did seem to help my scar not feel as though it was "stretching". I believe the combo of the other ones and these helped to flatten out the raised area of the scar. I would use them again but if I can remember the other type I would get that one first (I threw out the box when I was out of the other ones because I assumed they would be sub-standard to these).

This product is easy to use and performs wonders with scars. Of course works best on new scars, but it really flattens the scar tissue and works better than other competing scar treatment products. If you are too self-conscious to wear the strip in public, just remember to get a cream to put on the scar that provides at least 25 - 30 sun protection. You don't want the scar to be sunburned in any way as that will cause a permanent dark contrast to the surrounding skin.

Had major surgery done on my arm. Hoped that this would help heal the scar and make it less noticeable. Tried it for a month no real affect. I also had tried maderma. Maderma actually showed visual progress in one month.

Don't stay on. They fall off in less than 5 min. There is very little stickiness to them, and they are very thick and bulky. They peel off under their own weight and stick out enough to be peeled off by clothing.Not very effective as they are pretty much unusable without taping them down...

I am very fair skinned so any scar gets a purplish tint to them. My doctor advised with being so fair it could take up to a year for the color to fade. I believe I will see good results after a few months.I would warn against sleeping with them because if they get wrinkled or twisted you can not undo them. Other than that great product!

recommended by my dermatologist when i went there for a prescription product. I love it. I cut the strips because my scar isn't as long as them so i can get more use out of it. They dont stay on well though overnight so I need to put something over them
