Ordered to replace dome thermometer on Akorn kamado grill. Tested in boiling water right out of package, showed 200 deg. Close enough for me.Pros:- fits on the Akorn, see pic- seems to function fine, holding about 400 during first cook, looks close enough to me (note, dome thermometers are known to not necessarily match temperature on the grill surface)- same size and dimensions as the original Akorn thermometer, see picsCons:- doesn’t have the same pin in the back designed to properly align gauge when you install on the grill (not a huge deal, can set manually hold it in the correct position as you tighten it down)- didn’t perfectly show 210 deg for boiling water, but again, close enough for me

I purchased this 2 pack to replace a failing oem gauge on my Chargriller Akorn grill. Perfect fit sans an alignment pin that the oem had which helped line the gauge up to the lid. I wonder if the manufacturer could include a detachable pin for users that need it? I'm thinking small bolt with threads. Anyway, I digress - fired up my grill a couple of nights ago, and the gauge ran up to ~600 degrees without a hitch and went right back to zero as the grill cooled down. Can't ask for more than that, and the 2 pack pricing was phenomenal!

The thermometer works accurately. I verified with an over thermometer I placed inside the Gas Grill.Other reviews are correct - this unit is not sealed, so if it gets wet (or just with a humid day) water vapor will be trapped inside and will fog the dial. When the grill heats up this isn't too much of a problem as I can still read the numbers, but if it gets too bad this summer I may try drilling a small hole.

A little big for the weber it was replacing, however was able to make it work.
