Designed for 3-layer waterproof breathable fabrics including Goretex, it offers a strong, waterproof seal through heat activation with a household iron or heat press. Trusted by manufacturers since 1985, it delivers professional-grade seam sealing for repairs, patching, and small-scale production. ## Description T-2000X hot melt Seam Sealing Tape - Nylon 66 Tricot backer. Widths available: 22mm all colours; 28mm Dark Grey. Note Tape colours are not bold* (see colour chart). T-2000X is the brand leading Seam Sealing Tape used by major manufacturers throughout the world for the production of quality 3-layer waterproof garments -we have been successfully supplying our products to these markets since 1985. The Tape gives excellent sealing results on a wide range of 3 layer waterproof breathable coated / laminated textiles (PU & PTFE - compatible with Goretex and virtually all fabric brands). It has a specially developed hot melt adhesive with excellent flow characteristics for ease of application and high performance. Further technical information on our range of Seam Sealing Tape is available on our website at http://www.wbm-uk.com/tapes.htm. Application Instructions: For small scale production, repairs and patching the Tape can be applied using a Heat Press or Household Iron. In this case the temperature needs to be on a medium / medium hot setting - the dwell time is the important factor and this can only be determined by experimentation - suggest in the region of 6 - 10 seconds with pressure applied. Ideally apply the T-2000X Tape to a small piece of waste fabric first to test adhesion strength - after test application and allowing time for cooling pull the tape back and you should feel a strong resistance. For a good seal to be achieved the temperature must be hot enough for the adhesive to be flowing / molten and pressure must be applied across the full width of the tape. * Please note the T-2000X tape is not bold in colour. This is for technical / performance reasons - the nylon backer that carries the colour has to be thin and open weave (so that the tape adheres to itself at cross-over points) and therefore the white film / adhesive shows through giving it an overall lighter shade appearance. ## Features - 5 Meter length of T-2000X Hot Melt Seam Sealing Tape ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B06XHK47KG | | Adhesive Format | Solid (Hot Melt) | | Adhesive Location | one-sided | | Adhesive Material | Hot Melt | | Adhesive Side Count | 3 | | Best Sellers Rank | 18,014 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 78 in Duct Tape 125 in Masking Tape | | Brand | WBM Seam Tapes | | Colour | -Black | | Compatible Material | 3-layer waterproof breathable coated and laminated textiles, including Goretex other fabric brands | | Configuration | 22mm White | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (340) | | Item Resistance | waterproof, high adhesion | | Lower Temperature Rating | 135 Degrees Celsius | | Manufacturer | WBM Seam Tapes | | Manufacturer Part Number | T-2000X-22-BLACK | | Material | Nylon | | Model Number | T-2000X-22-BLACK | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Strong, Waterproof | | Recommended Uses For Product | Repairs, Patching, Sewing | | Size Name | 22mm Width | | Surface Recommendation | Cloth | | UPC | 642968094341 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Upper Temperature Rating | 150 Degrees Celsius | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** WBM Seam Tapes - **Colour:** -Black - **Material:** Nylon - **Number of items:** 1 - **Recommended uses for product:** Repairs, Patching, Sewing ## Images ![Seam Sealing Tape T-2000X - Hot Melt 3-Layer Waterproof – 5 Metres - Iron On (Black, 22mm Width) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Z9slG6VNL.jpg) ![Seam Sealing Tape T-2000X - Hot Melt 3-Layer Waterproof – 5 Metres - Iron On (Black, 22mm Width) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41nMVZFBFNL.jpg) ![Seam Sealing Tape T-2000X - Hot Melt 3-Layer Waterproof – 5 Metres - Iron On (Black, 22mm Width) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51ek3ntb4-L.jpg) ![Seam Sealing Tape T-2000X - Hot Melt 3-Layer Waterproof – 5 Metres - Iron On (Black, 22mm Width) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91vLhikZiEL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Seam Sealing Tape T-2000X - Hot Melt 3-Layer Waterproof – 5 Metres - Iron On (Black, 22mm Width) - Nikwax TECH WASH and TX DIRECT Twin Pack, Technical Cleaner and Wash-In Waterproofer for Waterproof Clothing, 2x 300ml --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/61206913-seam-sealing-tape-t-2000x-hot-melt-3-layer-waterproof](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/61206913-seam-sealing-tape-t-2000x-hot-melt-3-layer-waterproof) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
