UPDATE: 2/22/2020 This has been on my phone since ever since I got it and it has held up very well! There is dirt/dust collection on crevices and minor scratches, but overall it has protected my phone and screen and has held up well for 1½ years of use.Original Review:Finding the perfect case for my galaxy note 8 was hard. I wanted to protect the front/sides as much as I could because of the curved edges. I've also been told screen protectors are an issue because of that. This case has a front cover that protects the screen, so it was one of the main reasons I bought it. I've had this cover for a week now and so far so good! I do have a couple complaints though, but I will start with the good.The good: The back cover is clear and the edge around the phone is black. It is a hard rubber feeling and the corners have a thickened portion, which I hope will help protect it from a fall more. This is not something that has been tested. The case comes up above the edge of the phone, which is great because other cases I looked at did not. Most were flush with the screen or left the curved edge exposed. The top and bottom portion of the case is raised even higher so that when the phone is face down the screen does not touch the surface as well. Using the edge lighting is still possible and getting the pen out is easy. The front cover also has some hard plastic strips that helps cover the black portion of the phone a bit, which I also liked because it was just something I wanted to protect in case of a fall. I am also happy to report that overall I have 0 screen sensitivity loss. There are times that the top right corner is unresponsive to light touch, but for me its been nothing major. I simply press a bit harder and it works perfectly fine then. The case is a little bit difficult to open because you feel as though you're going to break it, but it's not so difficult that you cant do it or that it takes a long time. Unlike another reviewer, I haven't gotten any debris inside my case and this floats around in my purse when I'm out and about.The reasons this case is rated 4 stars:Although I am happy with this case I do have a couple complaints. 1) When I first received this case something was pressing against my volume buttons and making it spaz out. As another reviewer commented, the volume portion on this case is made into 2 buttons even though this is one button on the phone. At first I thought it was the small plastic piece making this into 2 buttons pressing on it, but found out it was actually the rubber pieces pressing down onto the buttons. Once I trimmed both those down a tiny bit it stopped messing with my volume and I no longer have any issues. 2) The port covers. They do stay in place and are firm, but because they are firm when plugging my phone in or using headphones there is pressure against them. I feel over time this will cause the charger to loosen and because of the pressure it may also mess things up on the inside. I'm actually thinking about cutting it off because of it.Other than that though this case has been great and I'm happy with my purchase.

Feels very good in the hand, its a bit bulky but feels secure much better than my last case. I like the front screen cover feels good and very sensitive as if it didnt have a cover at all. The whole edge is soft enough, and even if you dropped the phone on his face you get complete coverage all the way around unlike other cases for the Note 8 with the edges seems to seep in and only give you protection on the top and bottom this case give you much better protection.. I recommend this case for our expensive note 8.

We have had a case with a separate stick-on screen protectors for me and my wife. Both of them popped off within three months. Her phone had three in three months. Really like this one. The screen protector is held in by the case so it will not separate and I have had no issues at all with using the touch screen. I've had more issues with using the edges of the touch screen with the stick-on ones. The sides provide grip without being too sticky when pulling out of my pockets. The sides are raised so it will still protect the screen when laid face down but it does not interfere with using the edges of the screen. Great product. I have not YET drop-checked it.

I was amazingly surprised by this built in screen protector phone case. As long as you remember to clean the inside of the screen and outside before putting on this case, you'll enjoy this case. It's stiff enough that when you drop your phone, it will not break your real screen. The color was very off.. I picked blue but the only blue I see is the corner of the phone case, I don't mind because the back of my phone is gray. I think the black looks good with it. No complains about the design. I think the only downside to this phone case is if you don't like the transparent back. Other than that, I really like this phone case. There's no real bulk to it and all the buttons are aligned!

Simple and solid case, very easy to install and truly protects my Note 8. The case fits very well, and all features and buttons on the Note are accessible and working with the case on.Case is thin enough that the three different wireless chargers we use work seamlessly to charge with the phone in the case. Still provides military grade protection for the Note 8.Having the poly-carbonate front piece providing screen protection is an important and added bonus.The only addition I would like to have seen is a clip-on stand.

I literally just received my phone and my case at the same time so I haven't been with it for long. At first I was a little confused about how to put my phone in the case (definitely read the directions) When I realized I had to take it apart I thought I would break the case but it's actually very sturdy. When I placed the phone in the front part I thought I got the wrong case because my phone seemed too small. Then I put together the back part and fit right in. Phone looks good. I definitely feel like it's protected. I'll send an update if anything changes.

I got this case because it is one of the few that has a built in screen protector. Unfortunately, the screen protector is not particularly sturdy and is not going to protect it from even a minor drop. The frame and back are better but still a bit thin for my taste. The dealbreaker though was that the headphone jack opening gives too little clearance meaning that the wire gets yanked out too easily.If you are not clumsy or accident prone you will do fine with it. I tend to drop my phone enough due to my surrounding that it is unrealistic for protection. With some tweaking though they could get it right.EDIT: Company emailed me back saying that they would relay the suggestions to the design and manufacturing side for what that is worth. Went from 3 to 4 stars for the little extra effort/followup.
