I finally got around to installing a surround system in our bedroom with an old amp I had laying around, but I still needed a center speaker. Since it's just a bedroom I only needed something basic and cheap. I was pleasantly surprised by this speaker, so much so that I replaced the center speaker in my living room with this one and used the old one in the bedroom instead. It has a much fuller sound than the Pioneer it replaced and a good mount louder. My only caveat is that the top end isn't very bright, at least not as bright as other speakers I have. The build quality is also decent. It's hard to ask more of such an inexpensive speaker. Review: Replacement center channel speaker - This speaker replaced an Advent/Jensen speaker. The sound quality is as good as the old speaker. I have a Yamaha receiver that has the ability to test each of the 7 speaker in my surround system. It also changes each speaker's output for a balanced system.
