Review: Love Ruffwear & these are perfect! - You can't beat these Ruffwear Front Range harnesses for comfort, strength, and quality. I have a Golden Retriever and a Boxer. We travel a good amount with the dogs. These are our go-to harness for travel. The dogs are well secured and comfortable during long rides. Because of the price, we used cheaper harnesses while they were still growing and waited until they reached adult size before we invested in these. That was absolutely the right call. These are premium harnesses and though expensive, they are worth it! Note that our two dogs have very different shapes, even though they weigh about the same (70 lbs). This harness is so adjustable, around neck and girth, that it fits both dogs perfectly. We went with an x-large size.
Review: Great harness but my dog still pulls while using it. - The Ruffwear Front Range Reflective Soft Padded Harness with dual leash clips is very well made. It appears to be comfortable, but Bernie, our 110+ lb. Bernedoodle, hates putting on any harness. It’s easy to put on and adjust, when Bernie isn’t making us chase him around the house to do it! The harness has high-quality stitching, multiple adjustment points, and feels strong and durable. It has held up incredibly well to everything we’ve put it through, including hiking and, more importantly, Bernie’s constant pulling to play with every dog who crosses our path. Bernie is a serious puller, so I purchased this harness in April 2026 but waited four months to write my review so I could put it through the full “Bernie test.” It passed with flying colors! Even though he still pulls like he’s training for the Iditarod, the harness has held up beautifully and is definitely Bernie-approved! Now, if only I could find a way to make him stop pulling… but that’s a training task for another day!

You can't beat these Ruffwear Front Range harnesses for comfort, strength, and quality. I have a Golden Retriever and a Boxer. We travel a good amount with the dogs. The Ruffwear Front Range Reflective Soft Padded Harness with dual leash clips is very well made. It appears to be comfortable, but Bernie, our 110+ lb. Bernedoodle, hates putting on any harness. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will keep buying

I like these and my dog likes this brand of harness best out of all the ones we've tried. My dog is very sensitive and doesn't like heavier harnesses or ones that go to high on his neck and press uncomfortably on his chest and throat. This one is so lightweight he doesn't mind putting it on and it sits a bit lower than some of the other brands where it doesn't bother his throat if he pulls. I also love the front clasp as my dog is a puller and it does a great job of slowing him down when needed. Also the color and pattern is very cute and a good mix of stylish and functional so he's easy to spot. This is the second one I've gotten and this one seems to have an even higher level of reinforcement on the front clasp which I'm hoping will allow it to last longer than 3 years like the last one which frayed over time.
