Wanhao Duplicator 7 Plus

This machine is a lot like a blow up doll, it looks like a good time for a fraction of the investment and the end result is nothing like you think that you are getting.I bought this winter 2018. It took me two days to get a working free version of the software, and it took another week to get the officially licensed version that I was promised. Turns out the free version has a feature (resin calibration) that you need, but it was still a headache.After that, life was great for about a month of continual use. There is a learning cure, but it will not take long to get good prints. At about the one month point, I noticed that the fans, there are three of them on a D7+, had all become noisy. Research showed that these are, as expected, the cheapest of the cheap. In spite of the 3 month warranty, WANHAO was unresponsive. It took me about a week to source better quality dual ball bearing fans. During this time I continues to run the printer and the fans continues to get louder. One of the side fans died the day after my new fans arrived, so I prioritized the installation. During installation, I discovered that the LED fan was seized, oh joy.After the new fans, about $50, life was good again with the printer. It was now whisper quiet and I continued to get good prints for about four more weeks. Then inexplicably, the LCD screen stops showing an image. This is the state in which the machine still sits. WANHAO technical support is still non-existent, except to say that they are the only authorized source of parts. Not that they ever bothered to honor their warranty. I have now spent the equivalent of a second machine, and we have yet to solve the problem.Unless you are an electrical engineer or you are a masochist, you should avoid this product, or any other product by this "manufacturer", like you would avoid a two dollar prostitute.Thank you for your time.

The product pictured includes an HDMI port on the back. It's clear that they just reused the photo from the previous Duplicator version.Without the HDMI port, it is impossible to drive this printer with nanoDLP. Using the official software requires additional purchase of resin from their store, and it requires windows 7. I use linux only.

After spending hours trying to get the test print to work only to find out that the test part had a space in the file name (Wanhao, will not allow spaces in the file name). We now can only get it to print a few layers of the part... This printer is not ready for market until it works out of the box. Wanhao customer support does not answer emails quickly, there is limited support on the fb page. You might not want to spend $3k on a formlabs but if your using this for business your time is valuable and Wanhao not making sure their customers prints will be successful is very frustrating.The build quality of the printer appears to be good. The menu is very confusing.I would not purchase this until they have better support for their products. I'm sure it works but we can't get it to work. Lots of experience working with 3d printers.

I took my time doing homework on this printer. I wanted one that would do a great job with detail on 30mm prints, and it does. Easy set up physically but the product support by the manufacture is not the greatest. There is a large community on Facebook and they can help. It also does not come with the software you need, and it took me awhile to find the correct one. Most of the advise says to use software for the older D7 however you need to get the Wanhao D7 Workshop. I had to buy my license for the software, if you get a more recent shipment you will get the license for free.If you are looking for high detail and don't need a larger build serfice this is a great printer at a reasonable price. However if you are looking to build larger prints and less detail is needed you should consider another printer. No matter what printer you are looking at do you homework, it will pay off in the end.

Great item, they shipped it to me very quickly right to my house. Had one issue with a missing code but the seller responded very promptly.Print quality Is beyond anything an fdm printer can achieve.For the reviews stating they can't get a print to work I will say you will have to learn about the resins and how to print objects. Not sellers fault, just the nature of SLA style printing in general.Make sure your using the right software, it has resin profiles made for this printer.5/5 would recommend this seller to anyone looking to buy.

have only done on print so far and it came out great and i had an issue but it was resolved in less then 24 hours. Cleanup is a bit messy but worth it.

Lcd screen not working, the product was not the same as described with HDMI port!!

Great quality, super fast shipping. The printer is super easy to setup, and the printer itself is extremely quiet so you barely know its there. If you have any questions the seller replys back very quickly which is always a plus.
