D o I even need to replace it?** A: No, it's not needed for that light of a motor **Q: will this fit a 225 mercury optimax** A: It fits my 150 Merc, think it's fairly universal **Q: I ordered this for my 25 hp outboard that does not have power trim/tilt. The package says it’s only for outboards that do. Will this still work?** A: If you can’t tilt your motor it won’t work. If your motor won’t tilt there’s no need. If your motor tilts manual I believe you can lock it in place again no need for this product. What makes you think you need this product? **Q: will this fit on the square frame of the trailer? the ones i have seen fit on the roller on the back of the trailer** A: Yes it will, but you will need to drill a hole thru the frame to attach the bracket or you could weld the bracket, that is included for this type of setup. This is the way I use mine. ## Frequently Bought Together - Attwood SP-400-RB Adjustable Transom Saver, 23 to 35 Inches, Composite Head Holds Engine, Roller and Trailer Mounts - Rhino USA Boat Trailer Straps (2-Pack) - Heavy Duty 2 Inch x 48 Inch Boat Tie Down Straps to Trailer - Ultimate Adjustable Transom Tie Down Straps for Trailering Safety with Boat, Jet Ski, & More! - Kidde Fire Extinguisher for Boats, Single-Use 5BC --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/61698344-attwood-sp-400-rb-adjustable-transom-saver-23-to-35](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/61698344-attwood-sp-400-rb-adjustable-transom-saver-23-to-35) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
