Review: Great ratcheting wrench set - I just started a car rebuild, and solid tools is as big of an expense as the car itself. Having a good set of ratchet wrenches is a must for a rebuild. So far these guys have been great, reliable, and always easily available in the case. With all the regular sizes available, I’ve used these to rip apart the engine bay of my Audi. I haven’t had the chance to use the ratchet under heavy load, but that’s not really what these are for. Bottom line, it’s really hard to be mad at the quality of these for the price. I was always told to buy affordable tools first, and when you break one, buy an expensive version to replace it. So far, I’ve put these through their paces and looks like I won’t need to replace any soon.
Review: Excellent budget priced wrench set - I purchased this set to take to a maker space when I visit. The space has a lot of duplicate wrenches, a lot of missing sizes and no ratchet wrenches. Since I am taking these when I visit, I love the set having a tool roll which makes it easy to keep the wrenches together and take in and out of the tool bag. The wrenches appear to be good quality. I have not used them yet, so I am hoping the chrome finish will last over time. The ratchet mechanism goes only in one direction, so the wrench has to be flipped in order to have the mechanism work in the other direction. Hence no lever to change the rotation direction. This has to be a design decision to save money. Not a complaint, just something to know. I do not feel this will be an issue when using the set.
