Review: Great Value Twin Pack with Solid Free Photo Features - I picked up the SPYPOINT Flex-M Twin Pack Cellular Trail Cameras mainly for scouting before hunting season, and for the price, they’ve been a really solid addition to my setup. The biggest standout for me is the free photo access. Getting images sent directly without having to constantly pull SD cards or check cameras in the field makes a huge difference. I can just check activity from my phone and see what’s moving through my hunting spots in real time. For someone who likes to keep things simple and efficient, that convenience alone is worth it. Image quality on the photos has been more than good enough for scouting—clear enough to identify deer size, direction of travel, and general activity patterns. The dual-SIM LTE connection has been reliable in my area, and I haven’t had issues receiving updates as long as signal is decent. Setup was pretty straightforward, and having two cameras in the pack made it easy to cover multiple locations at once. The motion detection has been consistent, and I appreciate not wasting time checking empty SD cards anymore. Battery life seems reasonable so far, and the cameras have handled rain and weather without any problems thanks to the IP-rated housing. Overall, for a cellular trail camera system that includes free photo access and solid performance, this twin pack is a great value for casual hunters who want reliable scouting without extra hassle.
Review: Great cellular cameras at a great price! - These are a great upgrade from the Link Micro. Picture quality is excellent. Trigger speed is very good. The test feature is also nice. I would like to see more options for time delay between triggers. There's nice adjustability for the number of pictures per trigger and sensitivity. I still have some sun and shadow triggers even when adjusted to the lowest sensitivity. The option to take a pic at the scheduled communication time is nice. Being able to toggle between camera and video in the app is also another nice feature. Edit: If you notice that pictures aren't transmitting, make sure you go into camera settings in the app, click on Cellular Setup and check the daily sync time as well as how many time per day it transmits. I forgot to set my two new cameras to the same settings as my others and wondered why I wasn't getting the pictures of me walking by the camera until hours later. For those having issues with setup, Download the Spypoint app and create an account. When adding make sure you select the appropriate camera. I use the option to scan the QR which works pretty flawlessly. Once I've registered the camera to the app, I do a FULL not a quick format of a micro SD card and install. Put in 8 AA batteries and power the camera on. Once the camera links to service, I typically leave the camera where it is and walk by it several times to trigger. I know I could use the test button but I like to make sure the motion detection is working. Don't expect immediate transfer of pics. It takes about 2 minutes from the time the picture is taken for it so be sent to the app for viewing. Another tip from having 13 (4 flex and 9 link micro) deployed, when the batteries start showing around 30%... change them, especially if it's cold out. Also, In the app, I set all of my cameras to communicate at the same time each day. This way I'll know if one isn't working by simply tapping status or checking pictures at the set daily communication time. I've recently started using AA Lithium so far so good on those but cold weather will be the real test.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the FLEX-M come with SIM cards?**
A: The FLEX-M has two pre-activated SIM cards installed next to the microSD card slot. With its DUAL SIM technology, the camera automatically finds the best signal regardless of the operator.

**Q: Do I need a cellular data plan?**
A: All SPYPOINT cellular cameras come with our free 100-photo plan. Need more photos? Upgrade your plan for as little as $5 per month.

**Q: Do I need a memory card?**
A: The FLEX-M works best with a Class 10 microSD card, 2GB to 512GB (sold separately from the camera). Invest in well-known microSD brands to avoid memory card corruption and data loss.

**Q: What is the difference between a microSD card and a SIM card?**
A: They look very similar, but you can identify the SIM card, which provides cellular connectivity, by the large gold plate that covers most of its surface. A microSD card has its specifications (size, class, etc.) printed on it.

**Q: How do I get the best battery life?**
A: Make sure your camera is getting the best signal. Invest in quality power sources such as a solar panel with lithium battery (SPLB) or lithium battery pack (LIT-22). Do not use AA rechargeable batteries! Check out our Pro Tips online to learn more.

### ⭐ Junkity trash - poor support - gimmicky features
*by J***. on November 12, 2025*

I’m sure the price us attractive, and if you plan on using one season than it might be worth losing your money. 1st - if you’re 32GB included as card fills up- no more pictures. Almost every other cam manufacturer has the ability to use DVR mode and replace old photos with new ones, even format the card via remote cell, not SPYPOINT. Get ready to drive to your cameras at the worst possible time… 2nd - cameras are ultra sensitive to location, wind, sun, shadows but only randomly, and especially if you’re not on an unlimited plan. 3rd - there’s no live view or on demand option. If you’re walking to a bow stand and you want to see if you’re about to blow out any deer near a feeder, GL. The closest time to get photos is every two hours… 4th - if you camera is trigger happy your batteries are toast. Get a solar set up, but then get ready to have it work just long enough for you to walk away. 5th - to get sane functions of others like the ability to share camera with another person, identify and sort species, or even favorite/star photos they want more per month on top of the $30 that you’re going to be forced to pay because the camera will just take nonstop photos if not on unlimited. 6th - sometimes you’ll get a photo where the IR flash just doesn’t go off. Translation, black photo. You’re limited on the number of HD photos you can request, and since there’s no “on demand” function you’re going to wait two hours at least to get it. The HD photos are somewhat better. Finally - you’re going to have to call support, their live chat is a joke. They’ll tell you they are looking into an issue and then restart the chat. Your call will not be answered, you will get an overseas call back and they will want you to have your camera in hand to do the dumbest troubleshooting possible. Is it plugged in, is the card that was working two days ago mysteriously incompatible or corrupt. Now you have to drive out to the camera, again. Then they tell you to format the card(only possible with camera in hand), everything works, then 4 hours later it stops sending photos. Remote troubleshooting is impossible and a giant waste of time. I’m glad I have the Amazon warranty because these pieces of junk are going back to India. The photo quality is decent, but cell cameras are meant to be remote and untouched. Ironically I received two different branded ones as gifts and realized just how terrible these are.
