Review: I recommend this pad if you want a thicker, cushier feel underfoot. - These are the best quality rug pads I could find for a number of Persian rugs I had acquired. They are not cheap but worth it for the quality, "grippy-ness", comfort underfoot, and long term protection of your investment in the rugs. Ours are on hard surface (ceramic tile) floors and wood-laminate floors, and both situations work great. I will say that over time, your rug and pad may scootch away just a bit, depending on the surface they're on, but I usually just edge them back in position when my type-A personality demands it. Okay, I admit it. I'm a picture-straightener, too. If you want the best protection for your rugs, get the best quality pad you can. These fit the bill for me. A little costly but you get what you pay for. Also, they arrived quickly and I found them easy to cut to size. Tip: if you plan to put pads under several different rugs, you may find it useful (as I did) to make a few scale drawings and figure out how to cut multiple pads from one huge rug pad. That's what I did and it saved a lot of money over buying smaller pre-cut pads. Hope this helps. UPDATE: the rug does not move but the rug pad with the rug on top DOES move, together. These are not as grippy as they would have you believe, at least on our ceramic tile, radiant heated floors. I will try some of the sticky gel tape which comes in squares and strips, to see if I can keep the whole shebang from slowly "scooting" across the floor.

These are the best quality rug pads I could find for a number of Persian rugs I had acquired. They are not cheap but worth it for the quality, "grippy-ness", comfort underfoot, and long term protection of your investment in the rugs. Ours are on hard surface (ceramic tile) floors and wood-laminate floors, and both situations work great. I will say that over time, your rug and pad may scootch away just a bit, depending on the surface they're on, but I usually just edge them back in position when my type-A personality demands it. These are pretty nice for underneath our rugs throughout the house, keeps the rugs from slipping all around. Easy to cut to the size we needed if it needed trimmed good quality for the price.
