The build quality is excellent, and Rapala is one of the only manufacturers that still uses traditional balsa bodies on their lures. The lure looks natural when fishing with it, it feels smooth when reeled in and consistently gets bites when the fish are active. If the bass are biting in the top to mid depth, they'll go for this. Functionally, you really can't go wrong with any Rapala lure, but this is one of my favorites. I got the Hot Olive color this time, but the silver (perch) color works well for bass, too. Get one.
