Hold the button to jump to the nearest 10 degree-Keep warm uses 400w for a few seconds to top up. Having the double wall ensures that it doesn't need to happen often- Blue light and temperature indicator would tell the hearing impaired (most teens) that the water is ready.-This kettle does have dry boil protection, but it doesn't react fast enough to protect the electronics in the kettle-Flat heating element makes it easy to clean and descale-Safety features The highest keep warm temp is 90c, any higher, a full pot of the water will vaporize and turn your kitchen into a sauna within 20mins.-Dry boil protection - turns off when there is no water-Inner cavity wall is glass and the outer wall is plastic to keep it light and without the plastic taste.Cons:-Wish this was 3000w, which boils 2 cups of water in 90 s vs this 2100w (tested against the power meter) kettle at 1.5 mins .-Beeps with every button press, wish I could turn it off.-Lid opens to 45 degrees, you need to pull is further to open up to 80 degrees - spring isn't strong enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great kettle - nice tech and will save electricity keeping the water warm rather than heating it up each time *by G***B on 8 May 2018*  Our existing kettle that we've had for about 10 years has finally given up the ghost and the switch doesn't stay down to heat the kettle up.Being a gadget guy, I couldn't just get a normal kettle - so opted for this smart one which is awesome. I've added a little video showing it working.If you drink a lot of hot drinks, like we do, keep boiling a kettle is a big drain on electricity. But keeping it warm uses less electricity.
