Excellent Television Currently Underrated at 3.5 stars
I am providing two separate reviews on this product: First a review of the actual television then a review of Amazon's Delivery Service. This is an excellent television that is currently rated at 3.5 stars. I am giving it 5 stars because in my opinion this product is seriously underrated and it is as good any Samsung Television worth $400 more (such as the Samsung QLED Q7F). Here's my simple rule of thumb: If you can't tell the difference is it WORTH the difference? I did the usual showroom visits. I compared Samsung and LG screens side-by-side. I could not observe any noticeable differences. There are people that "see things" that I have never noticed and that spend a lot of time learning about local dimming, black frame insertion, motion interpolation, stutter, judder, etcetera. If you are inclined to take a master's course in picture quality analytics by all means do so and be prepared to spend north of $3,000 to find the television that performs best according to these measures. I simply looked at the Consumer Report ratings and the Rtings online scores. Both sites validate the quality and performance of this particular model. I also happened to have recently purchased a smaller Samsung unit and picture-wise they are in the same league. Just about the only component where I would rate the Samsung higher is the remote control. I find the Samsung remote to be sleeker.Amazon Delivery Service I would rate at 2 stars. Be aware that this product did not qualify for scheduled delivery. I could not track my delivery in the same way I can when I order spare tires for my bike! All I had was a delivery date (2 Day Prime Shipping), but no detail on the carrier. I never received a call. I was lucky enough that my girlfriend happened to be home when the knocked the door. They placed the box in my living room and left! She was never asked to sign anything! I would have gladly paid an extra $100 for a delivery service that would have unpacked the unit, connected it and removed the old model.

... and Xbox One X so I figured it was pretty much required to purchase a 4k tv
Upgraded to a Xbox One X so I figured it was pretty much required to purchase a 4k tv. I stream all my shows through my Xbox so outside my Xbox experience I couldn't say anything else. I have always liked LG products and have never had a problem with them. In my opinion LG makes the best TVs. This TV is great. Awesome picture. One thing I must say in this TVs defense is I have NEVER had a tv that you could not see light bleed on a dark picture in a dark room. Sure some are worse than others but still. The only way you are not going to get some sort of light bleed is to spend the money on an OLED TV. Period. Now I would have purchased and OLED instead of this but there are know issues with OLED TVs and burn-in and image retention with games. Seeing how my Xbox is the hub of my entertainment system I was not going to risk it. So I went for the next best thing that was not an OLED TV being this series of LGs Tv's. And I'm glad I did!If you want the best picture possible and have the money, get and OLED TV. Nothing beats it.If you are like me and not a risk taker when it comes to spending over $1000. Get this TV. It would be a different thing if LG's product warranty covered image retention and burn in on OLED TVs but they do not.Picture settings are a little advanced so it took some time to get this dialed into my liking. As for light halo issue, if you turn LED local dimming OFF it removes this effect. However I recommend you keep it on low because it's a nice feature and really darkens up the dark scenes.

LG 4K Is Really Sharp and has Easy to Use Interface, Stand is an Issue if used.
This arrived yesterday using the Amazon scheduled delivery service, which was especially helpful. Would have had to haul it from the store myself. It was double boxed and in perfect condition. Was easy to setup for me, but requires assembly of the stand. The stand was a disappointment, as it is pretty flimsy. May previous TV stand was well built with plenty of steel. This LG stand has cast metal internal frame connected to a large plastic molder bracket that hooks and screws into the back of the TV. When done and standing on the lower console/cabinet, the TV will rock back and forth. NOT impressed with this and I will find another mount. This is really my only complaint about it, after setting it up.Side Comment:Now maybe if one wants to wall mount this, that would be a different effort. I have installed them on the wall before and the key is using a quality wall mount unit and definitely need one or two more people to help.Connecting it to my system was easy for me. I use the ARC HDMI which runs through my amplifier and allows the TV remote to control the amplifier. I like the the AI interface as it is laid out well and I could figure it out without reading a bunch of the manual.Side Comment:Now if you are not very tech savvy, this all may seem daunting. There are lots of settings, options, and ways to access them. The TV begins by speaking to you. You can select different languages. I accidentally selected Korean and so was a bit stuck in a place I could not read or understand. I simply turned off the TV, and it wen back to the beginning of the setup where I carefully selected English. (The LG Magic Remote uses a wheel to select and control, so it takes some practice. That was why I selected the wrong language, as I was forced to figure out the remote and make a choice first thing)Beautiful picture compared to my previous TV which was nothing to sneeze at, but was 7 years old technology. I set the energy saving to off, as recommended in some articles, in order to get the best color settings to go on. I have wired internet access and the TV set up everything without much help from me. I use a Cable Box, but it runs through my amplifier, so I did not use the TV channel setup.I moved on to setting up the Apps (Smart TV). Here I ran into some trouble, as several would not launch or update. Seems the TV software was behind so I needed to update that. This did not work very well, as the TV was not seeing the updates. I could download the software online, but I wanted the TV to do this itself. I did call LG Support and they informed me how to power cycle the TV using the power switch on the underside. When I did this, then the TV knew there were updates. It applied a couple of versions, which took some time and required the TV to be restarted after each update. (Yes, the TV is a computer, so same rules apply). After the updated, then the Apps launched and updated and are working fine.As stated, there are lots of options and information on the TV. Some people may find this overwhelming, but I love it.The LG Magic Remote is fun to use, once you figure out how the cursor moves around. Made the entry of passwords on accounts pretty easy. So, in Summary I am pleased with the cost of this versus the Quality, Options, and Pictures, except for the stand which is a disappointment. I did consider the OLED version, but it was twice the money for the same features and frankly I think the picture would be amazing, but close to same for this model if they were side by side. I will consider that in the future.Thank you for your attention and reading this.

Disappointed
Returned, then returned the second one.. both of them had severe backlight bleeding around the edges. Football and hockey looked horrible, extreme clouding issues.Very disappointed.. bought Sony xbr900f instead and it's amazing!
